@RepealProp4 There was no grey area in the law regarding prepaid postage. Sending a voter a prepaid envelope is not an inducement to removing their signature, because the “benefit” was given regardless of whether the voter chose to remove their signature or not.

“STAMP-GATE” = the act of a duly elected legislative body clarifying existing state law when faced with a “gray-area.” AKA, a manufactured media fabrication. Apparently, none of the other 538 laws that passed were worth discussing! Tune in to ABC4 Sunday for more Stamp-gate!

🚨NEW EPISODE: The '26 Utah legislature overshadowed by last minute changes to prepaid postage for signature removals on initiatives and a bill passing after midnight. Plus, Congressional candidates line up under new maps. @taylordmorgan, @LeahMurray828 👇 youtu.be/fd5Iv2lczlA?si…

💪💪💪 We will not cease in our effort to Repeal Prop 4, no matter the day of the week or the time of night!
Lindsay Aerts@LindsayOnAir

@RepealProp4 I have reported on the allegations of fraud you are making against them. And bills take coordinating to be subbed, passed after 11 pm, pass concurrence, enrolled, and be signed by the governor the next morning. This was not an accident, you know this. share.google/46awNz4jGAQW3I…

Lindsay, the original sub was written without our knowledge. Maybe a better question would be how many lawmakers trust the judiciary at this point on this issue? Besides, how many laws each year are passed to clarify existing law? That’s half of what the Legislature does. You know this! Why haven’t you reported on the deception employed by Better Boundaries??

@RepealProp4 Honest question, if the existing statue was clear that using a prepaid stamp is paying for a removal, and you filed a lawsuit claiming as such, why did you need to change the law?

You caught us…supporting a provision that was public for a week which clarifies existing law. If a Democrat judge can toss Utah’s congressional maps at 11:40p before the midnight deadline, a Republican legislative majority can confirm existing statute at 11:19p.

@gopTODD @johnforutah @JmanSLC @utahcommonsense @danmccay Question to the good Senator from Woods Cross. Why did it move so late? Was it just a function of when that bill came up? Did it take time to whip the votes? Why were backers of @RepealProp4 on the hill whipping votes that night?

⬇️ These deceptive practices are now ILLEGAL. Thank you, @utahhousereps, @utahsenate and @GovCox. For the last month, lawmakers heard from constituents concerned about the practices of Better Boundaries. Even Rep. Blake Moore, an original founder of B.B., urged that the campaign to remove signatures end. As of TODAY, there will be no postage provided to initiative signers to trick them into removing their signature. The law did not change the amount of time a person has to remove their signature, and any removals already requested will be processed. Utahns want a vote to Repeal Prop 4, and they have earned that opportunity this November.

@Mason__McCann @RepealProp4 Fair to assume, since despite having $4.3m in out of state money to throw at this it's coming down to 87 signatures in SD7, that they misunderstood that meme to be used when you're actually crying

They only hit the mark in their 26th district by 87 signatures, and it seems unlikely that they hit the mark in a 27th for a buffer Removals have over a month, and they're well on pace to knock those 87 out pretty quickly Getting pretty close to calling the Prop 4 repeal dead

Prop 4 Repeal update: Not much to report today. All eyes are on SD7 — the tipping point district. The repeal effort crossed the threshold Friday by 46 signatures. As of today it's up to 87. There were three removals since Friday. SD8 is now 169 past the target.

🚨PROP 4 REPEAL UPDATE: The effort to @RepealProp4 has officially met the threshold to qualify, but President @JStuartAdams district is separated by only 87 signatures. The recision effort has until April 22 for removals. It's questionable whether this is a big enough buffer.

Important Signature Update: Following media reports Friday detailing the number of valid signatures collected in Davis County, we reviewed internal signature counts in districts 6, 7 and 8. With one week left to validate signatures, we are confident that the initiative to Repeal Prop 4 will qualify for the ballot when the process is completed. We appreciate the diligent work of each county during the last several months to review signatures and ensure the voices of 157,898 (and counting!) Utahns are heard.
