With respect to Senator Hooper, during this term the Florida Senate has demonstrated little interest in respecting legislative traditions. Any timing issues they are having in pulling together their Senate budget have absolutely nothing to do with the Florida House.

Farm Bureau Day 100’s of kids from FFA and 4H - Future of Agriculture at the Capitol to advocate for FL Ag To call only opponents to speak, while one of the greatest advocates for FL Ag is in the hospital. It wasn’t politics, it was intentionally mean.

During the four years of misguided, liberal gamesmanship under my predecessor’s reign over our agriculture industry, the Florida Senate was a reliable backstop to protect solid policies that support our farmers, ranchers and growers. It is unconscionable that a single committee chair would pick up that mantle and reverse the gains we’ve made. My hope is that Chair Passidomo reconsiders her support for agriculture in our state and puts the Farm Bill back in front of the Senate.

Roy: The SEC, BIG 10, ACC… they’re pushing this hard. What we just saw unfold with Lane Kiffin is an absolute abomination. People say: Well, this is the market working. This is not supposed to be a market… If we’re going to intervene, maybe we should fully intervene. Maybe we should fix the damn mess so we don’t have 16 teams in the SEC and 17 teams in the ACC and 19 teams in the BIG 10 and Stanford in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

For those who've been following me for years, you should know I was very much in favor of arming Ukraine even before the outbreak the war. I've even had private discussions about the utility of supporting Ukraine with folks who are now in the Trump Admin. The issue is that the Russia-Ukraine War has been locked in a stalemate for essentially the past 3 years. There is no reasonable pathway for Ukraine to regain control of its pre-2014 borders. What's more is there is no reasonable policy argument to claim that this is in the US' best interests. The US has an interest in ensuring Ukraine remains sovereign and in having Ukraine remain a thorn in the side of Russia. That's it. Good statecraft involves balancing that objective with other objectives worldwide. The neocon obsession with unlimited support to Ukraine and Israel is costing the US as we are depleting our supply of PGMs and missile interceptors, platforms which require rare earths which the US dependent upon China for. We can't be the world's policeman anymore without endangering our own security. It's time for our partners overseas to step up and take care of themselves.

@kaitduffy Unpopular opinion, I no longer care if my children throw a hissy fit the entirety of the flight next to you. I’m not comforting them and you can deal with it. Next time pay the money to avoid sitting next to children away from their parents who can comfort them.

Here’s a State Rep who has no idea what he’s talking about. Lawrence McClure and his people were conspiring for years to put one of their buddies up in the district in Plant City. The politicos in Plant City decided to go along with it. The moment I started making serious inquiries the guy announced and McClure and his people all lined up behind him to astrotruf it. Except the guy has no real experiences to show and is an outsider to the district. No one knows him. There are no grassroots campaigns in Florida anymore, at least not in Eastern Hillsborough County. All the races are selected by the people currently in charge. Frankly, I just wish my hometown actually had a voice in the matter of who represents them. So @RAlexAndradeFL, are you ok with State Reps in Florida hand picking their successors? Yes or no?
