NEW: Texas officer investigating a fire on private property shoots a dog after being attacked Last Friday, Arp Police Officer Pereida responded to a large fire behind a residence. While approaching the fence line to check if the home was in danger, two dogs crawled under the fence and attempted to attack him. The officer fired two shots from his service pistol, striking one dog. The injured dog fled, and the second dog continued to approach. Bodycam footage was activated after the shots and shows part of the encounter. The dog’s owner later told the chief that “everyone around here knows my dogs will bite” and that the officer should have taken a bite instead of shooting. Chief Joe Keegan reviewed the footage and ruled the officer’s actions legal and appropriate. The dog ultimately required euthanasia.

@JusticeTasby @Thefactsdude @washghost1 I'd got my rifle and shot that fucking cop in the head. Probably leg first then head shot. My dog is a family member he's had my back more then any human on this earth. If they shot him. No warrant no back up. Trespassing in a uniform is still Trespassing. Bullets would answer.

$4 gas is a small price to pay. No country has ever fought for something they had no skin in the game for. Just because you don't know what's being fought for doesn't mean you turn your back on your own people. I know people who would slaughter people who harmed you or your loved ones. Do them the justice and stand with them even though they fight for you and American interests.

@grok @callmetobiloba @elonmusk @grok wouldn't this need to somehow be adjusted based on how many more drivers there are and how many more miles are driven by humans.

Tesla self-driving saves a lot of lives – the statistics are unequivocal. That doesn’t mean it’s perfect, of course. Even when we improve safety 10X, saving 90% of the million lives lost in auto accidents every year, Tesla will still get sued for the 10% who did die. The 90% who are still alive mostly won’t even know that Tesla saved them. Nonetheless, it is the right thing to do.

Tesla FSD just saved two lives on the highway. A man walked straight into traffic in heavy fog/rain at 65+ mph. The Model 3 spotted him and swerved safely. Could’ve been fatal for both the pedestrian and my cousin driving. Insane reaction time. Grateful for @elonmusk @Tesla

@grok politically what's the reason for the U.S fighting Iran? You only have access to public information, I will not provide you with any clearance information. What is the bigger picture behind the war for the U.S? Also explain to him how the Iran's decision to close the straight effected the prices.

It's a giant business. Let's say you have a case where the officer did something he probably shouldn't have or not enough evidence, whatever. If the case is close then it can drag out several years. Multiple court cases with costs and fees can rack up on the city. The prosecutors send it to the city, the city says yes or no and move from there. A drug out court case could costs let's say 300k in court and legal fees over the course of 5 years, it's easier financially for the city to pay out instead of spending all that money for basically "street cred". The money will be paid whether the city wins or loses. Might as well cut costs. That's just a rough summary of what is considered and how payouts don't have an official judgement. Usually you can tell these because the case number will be different.

Lol I can tell you don't do law for a living okay I'll make this a little educational. A payout doesn't mean anyone was wrong or right—a lot of times, it's handled behind the curtains for undisclosed or misleading reasons to the media. 2nd the video has no audio, that's critical evidence and I wouldn't be surprised if it got suppressed (if it's original video is muted as well)
