It was great to meet with the Los Angeles Resilience Corps to discuss scaling their wildfire prevention model, which links fire resilience to high-quality jobs for our region. Following my push for federal disaster relief and stronger insurance protections, I’m proud to help LARC identify the resources they need to protect our homes.

Thank you to the essential workers and volunteers moving literal tons of goods, organizing, and canvassing to support the families who have been unable to work or leave their homes as the threat of #ICE operations lingers over the city. The work continues. ✊🏽

Officer Braulio of Aspen PD played a key role in selecting local trainees for our Aspen #Wildfire Resilience Project. Residents facing housing and employment challenges now have meaningful, paid work and a pathway toward stability as part of the resilience workforce. ✊🏽

The Aspen Wildfire Vegetation Mitigation project is officially underway! 🔥🌲 Mike from WVM guided our trainees through the work site and the fundamentals of #wildfire prevention, from safety practices to understanding how smart fuel management protects homes and forests.

Next week, Resilience Force joins our partners in Aspen to launch a #VegetationManagement & #Wildfire Reduction Demonstration Project. 🌲 We’re training local workers to reduce wildfire risk, creating good jobs and building the resilience workforce that keeps communities safe.

Our crews tackling the thick vegetation around Miss Jane’s house in Swannanoa. She’s been living alone in her damaged home for over a year since #Hurricane Helene, feeling unsafe and isolated. Jane now feels safe sitting outside again, where she loves to watch cars go by.
