I’ve played around 10 hours of GreedFall 2: The Dying World and I genuinely don’t get the backlash. As sequels go, this is about as faithful as it gets. Everything that worked in the first game is here, just polished. Strong companions, solid VA, new mechanics that actually add depth. And the combat complaints?? It’s not worse, it’s just not braindead anymore. Tactical pause actually matters now. You can manage your party instead of spamming dodge and right click. Story-wise, it runs parallel to the first but expands the world beyond Teer Fradee, and suddenly the factions’ obsession with curing the malichor actually makes sense, because their world is literally dying. If you liked the first game, you’ll like this one. I really don’t understand why people were up in arms about it.

@TieGuyTravis Whatever changes they've so far made, they didn't fix the first 2.5 chapters of "storytelling".

This shouldn't be controversial. The Crimson Desert I played was absolutely a 6/10 for all the reasons listed in my review. The developer has since made a whole bunch of changes to the game, so a re-review is probably warranted.

Heard Crimson Desert got some updates, so I popped it on. Still feels like walking on the moon but I didn’t turn it off immediately this time. Another few weeks and it might actually become playable
