You all wet there. Set aside your doctrine and take up the scripture. You have been given the life and with it all things retaining to godlines. Partakers of the divine nature. To them , he gave the power to become the sons of God. Jesus christ the first born among many. To deny theosophisis you have to start tearing out pages from your bible. To accept it , you may have to start tearing out pages from your Manmade doctrinal scripts That are busy making your religion worthless.

Jesus deliberately contrasts God's provision with Solomon's extraordinary wealth and splendor. The flow of the argument is: The lilies of the field do not labor or spin. Yet God clothes them. "Not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed like one of these." (Matthew 6:29) If God clothes temporary grass and flowers with such beauty, how much more will He care for His children. So the comparison is not merely about receiving the bare minimum to survive. It is an argument from the lesser to the greater: God lavishes beauty on flowers that last only a short time. Therefore, His children can trust Him for what they need. That said, the specific "things" in verse 33 still refer back to food, drink, and clothing. The reference to Solomon emphasizes the quality and generosity of God's provision. The point is more then you could ask or think. If he has given us his life what is it to give wealth where wealth in needed to the glory of God and the work of advancing his kingdom. But he entrust more to those who have been faithful with what he has given. Righteousness matters. Without righteousness their is only asking effected by unbelief. As sin is unbelief. If you believed you could say to this mountain.... Righteousness in its fullness is no more unbelief, no more sin. Yes you can cease from sin. 1 Peter 4 1-2 No, it is not easy. You will likely have to choose to suffer and bleed and die first before sinning. To put on that mind. If you can do it for 4 min, you can do it for and hour, a day, a week... Interesting quote, addiction is proof that man is capable of intense devotion, you just need to put God in that place.

What things did Jesus say would be added in Matthew 6? What did He just talk about? Food and clothing, our basic needs, same as in 1 Timothy 6. He indeed provides. For every faithful rich man like Job, which is rare (Matthew 19:23), you can find many more faithful men like Paul. He gave up the comforts of the upper class, counting what was gain to him as loss and rubbish (Philippians 3:7-8). In exchange, he got beatings, prison, a stoning, shipwrecks, perils, sleeplessness, hunger, thirst, cold, and nakedness (2 Corinthians 11:23-28). All that never ended until his death, yet the Lord taught him to be content in whatever state he was in (Philippians 4:11-13). That was life for many New Testament Christians, the period in which God gave the church all we needed to know for our lives. Job is the exception, not the rule. I also think of the Lazarus of Jesus' parable, who lived in squalid poverty and disease his entire life, yet was so righteous and favored that angels personally carried him to paradise (Luke 16:20-22).  In this life, our bodies are wasting away, while our hope is in the eternal things that are not seen (2 Corinthians 4:16-18).

Are Christians supposed to be "winners" or "losers"? With debate over that issue heating up again, here are some articles I wrote about the topic. Links are in the replies. * Holiness is more important to God than victory * Winning in the Bible * God wants losers Links 👇

Submission is how you belong. To call him lord lord and not do what he says is to be a liar. Now to submit yourself with a heart to submit yourself in all things. But what to fail in trying is it different matter. So, to say obedience has no bearing is to say that faith has no bearing on salivation. In the Hebrew mind and in the Greek language also I believe, faith and the obedience of faith are inseparable. To say salvation is not about the quality of your obediance is correct. In this, it is not earned. To say a faith without works is saving faith and not dead faith is incorrect. Abraham was justified by works. On this scripture is clear. Not the works of law to be good enough but the works of faith in God. Not by faith alone is scripture. By faith alone is man's doctrin.

@RestoringChurch @osasisHERESY Yes, once we are born again, we become a new creature and the old things are passed away. The saved obey God for his blessings and rewards (1 Cor 3, James 1:25, Deut 28). If we disobey God we are punished in the flesh (1 Cor 3, 1 John 5). Obedience is not required to be saved.

The term used for imputed is also the term used for deposit. It is an accounting term if I mark something down as a ledger saying, I have deposited. This is what imputed means in the ledger. But unless the actual deposit took place , god is keeping false books. So to say imputed , righteousness , without actual righteousness , being possessed is a lie. It is false accounting , a bad check book balance.

@RestoringChurch @osasisHERESY Discipleship does not save you, yes... that is my entire point. However, discipleship is much more than 'teaching'... It is the sanctification of the flesh... this is a very different process from the sanctification of the flesh (salvation is based on imputed righteousness).

@ChristandGuitar Scripture directly states salvation through sanctification. It is unavoidable truth. In scripture salvation has three tenses. You are saved. You are being saved. You will be saved.

Can we get a Protestant on Tucker who actually represents us accurately without the strawmen? Jay Dyer (Orthodox) reduces the Calvinistic/Reformed view of salvation to "mere mental assent" — with the only change being God's disposition toward a person. That's not what any Protestant teaches, other than the hyper free-grace OSAS antinomian fringe. We teach justification by faith alone in Christ: a sinner goes from hating God to repenting and trusting Him. This is a real spiritual regeneration by God's grace alone, not just rubber-stamping an individual as "saved" and sending him on his way. Yes, we are legally declared righteous at the moment of faith: Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. But Scripture also teaches sanctification — not as a means to achieve salvation, but as a byproduct of becoming a new creation in Christ: 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. Those whom God justifies in Christ, He will also glorify: Romans 8:30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.

Salvation , according to rome , is a legal state. Salvation , according to the greek , is a new life. Depending on your protestant tradition , you may have an understanding that is a blend of both or dominant to one side or the other. But in general protestants are legalist. They rely on legal position as justification. They have more of a you are saved by his death approach, not reconciled by it with all mankind and are only saved by his life. Now, claiming a legal position is spiritually transformative would need some justification. But to attain the level of partaking of the divine life verses having something attributed to you rather then deposited would be central in that discussion. While in the Greek language of scripture, you are the righteousness of god in christ jesus is connected to the new life within being that righteousness and being who and what you are now in christ as a Child of God.

Discipleship is teaching. Teaching never saved anyone. Teaching is not life. Please understand that salvation and teaching / decipleship are very distinct biblical concepts. Lives grow. Mature. Become fully formed. Or suffer loss. Abode in the umblical until the end or are shipwrecked as miscarriages of faith. Teaching at its best strengthens faith. But God's life is spirit worked out into all that you are with fear and trembling gives the growth into maturity of a fully formed child no longer poor in spirit. Yes poor in spirit is enough. But who wants to be poor in heaven with regards to the fullness of divinity as a child of God? So lay hold of all that Christ Jesus laid hold of you for. Cease from sin in this life. Become perfected in love. Do not neglect so great a salvation , if you do, you will not escape suffering the loss of its fullness.

@RestoringChurch @osasisHERESY Please understand that salvation and discipleship are two very distinct biblical concepts. If you fail to rightly divide between the two, you are not going to be able to accurately interpret the bible.

It's more like you were concived as a new life. That's his 100% . The starting line of our race. You have been given the life, and with it comes all things pertaining to godliness. So how shall you escape if you neglect so great a salvation? Now you must abide in the vine and grow and endure to the end to lay hold of what he laid hold of you for. A New life in spirit, the free gift. Living it in the womb of this world to become fully formed. That's your work, but it all depends on the gift of life, of course. You can't make that happen by your efforts. Some people actually count their neglecting of the great gift of salvation as how they avoid trying to earn it.

Jeremiah 29:11 is the most quoted verse in American churches. It was written to Jewish captives in Babylon. Not to you at graduation. What verse did your church teach you wrong?

Technically OSAS is true. You will be saved if you endure the end. The salvation through death and resurrection is a salvation, fully realized. Not just one you received a down payment towards. So when you actually are saved, you will always be saved. But you must be born again and Jesus was the first born from the dead. The first among many.

Messiah is Israel. The branches in him by faith get their idenity from him. The church is the fellowship of the branches in the realized promise of the servants' arrival. Their is no replacement for Messiah. He came as the singular sees of Abraham's faith. The servant, who is Israel from God via the womb, came to bring a people of God who are Israel to God, that people was always the branches in him by faith in God. They are the only Israel that was ever Israel. The fleshly people are Esau's kingdom. The spiritual people are Jacob's decendants who receive the blessings from Israel, the servant, and bear his name as blesses in him.

Well, you should hate lies. Technically, osas isn't a lie. Because if you endure to the end you will be saved. Then OSAS is true in the resurrection from the dead as a child of God. Now we have a down-payment on the life only. Now we must abide in the vine and become fully formed in christ likeness. Attain to the fullness of his stature as one filled up to the full with the spirit of the life of God worked out into all that we are with fear and trembling. It's a FOMO. You have been given the life and with it all things pertaining to godliness. To them , he gave the power to become the sons of God. Concived of the Holy Spirit as Christ in you, your hope of glory.

Scripture and especially the NT has many instances of godly men rebuking those who would speak folly to the saints, and the young. You make no argument except a few proof texts, and you tell people to trust in their own persistence for assurance. No idea what you are for, only that you hate osas.

You are a father after you have a son/child born to you. At which point you become a family of your kind. Before your descendants are within you as a man. But does that make you a father? If so then every newborn male child is already a father. Religious minds untether truths from the context of creation that God made himself known in and evident through. Once you do that, you are not understand the scriptures. You are imagining things.

@RestoringChurch @Soteriology101 @1984_nate That's not from Scripture. I also have no idea how your comment even addresses the issue. God the Father was also always God the Father, he did not become the Father. Just as God the Son was always the Son, he never became the Son. God loves all humanity; address this point.

Jeff Durbin: Don’t go around telling everyone that Jesus loves them. Us: Why not? Are you afraid one of the non-elect will wrongly believe God actually loves them? HEAVEN FORBID WE HAVE REPROBATES OUT THERE THINKING GOD LOVES THEM!!! Or… Are you concerned if a reprobate comes to believe they are loved by God they will continue to do exactly what God already unchangeably decreed for them to do in eternity past, including believing they are loved when they aren’t? We can’t have that! 🤦‍♂️

1) You don't have because you don't ask. 2) You don't have because the children's food is for the children 3) You don't have because your hearts motives are wrong 4) You don't have because you can't let go of yourself 5) You don't have because not having is what you need to grow right now 6) You don't have because you are not ready to have and having will hurt you. 7) You don't have because you ask in unbelief. In a faithlessness in his love or willingness or power. If you ask for good things from your heavenly father, how much more will God give good things than an earthly father who loves you. But the command is to seek first the kingdom of God, and then all these other things get added. Job wasn't a wealthy man without reason. In his righteousness, he was blessed. Satan claims exactly that as God's blessings as why he was a faithful servant. Job lost all, still faithful to God. God restored. How many of us have been through and have come to trust it. Honestly it has been one of my biggest struggles in life to let go and rest in him to bless the labors and provide the positive results. The provision follows the kingdom work. The love one another is blessed.

God promises to meet our needs in this life and tells us to be content with that (1 Timothy 6:8). If He blesses us with anything else, it's by His grace alone. Everything He gives, He gives freely (Romans 8:32). Our inheritance is the kingdom, incorruptible, undefiled and which does not fade away, reserved in heaven for us (1 Peter 1:4).
