@Mattizreal @elonmusk Being proactive is learning a skill that will help you survive without big daddy govt. You just don’t understand what I’m telling you. A corrupt government controlling your means of survival is a bad idea. It you do you, bro.

Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI. AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.

You’ve allowed yourself to be seduced by the idea of “free money”. In doing so, you’ve convinced yourself that UBI is the only answer to all of our problems. You’ve been manipulated by those at the top into thinking that UBI is a concept created to address YOUR problems when the sad truth is, it was created to placate you. The real goal here is expanding the national GDP and steadily increasing market consumption - at all costs. Maintaining a healthy, inclusive society is AT BEST a hoped-for by-product, but not the primary endpoint. UBI gives everyone a baseline stipend. But that money doesn’t grow on trees. It comes from the taxpayer. That’s you & me - friend. Those that are already rich will still be rich - only they will receive extra weekly income. Do you understand what I’m saying? Creating a new baseline does not level the playing field. UBI only benefits the wealthy ON ALL LEVELS. Your placid acceptance of your weekly allowance is your implied consent to a system that will allow mega corps to increase their efficiency and profits 10 fold. Everyone will sacrifice something for this stipend but what if smaller losses for those at the bottom of the economic ladder are much more consequential to them than the larger gains for those already on top? Under those conditions, rising production will NOT translate into rising prosperity for people like you & me. The only wealth redistribution here will be from the middle class to the poor. The wage gap WILL NOT DECREASE! IN FACT, IT WILL INCREASE as the middle class is choked out of existence and all that remains is the very rich & the very poor. It appears you’ve accepted defeat - and that’s fine. I HAVE NOT. I will continue to fight for the builders, the entrepreneurs, small family businesses and the middle class. UBI has been tried in various iterations and it has failed miserably. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Fortunately, YOU hold the key to disrupting your own shitty status quo & you can implement it TODAY. Quit your job and choose a new profession. Choose something you would do for free and then find a way to turn it into a modest living. This works better if you make your choice based off of the needs currently left unfulfilled in your community. Our forefathers envisioned a country full of entrepreneurs. We need to return to our roots.

Your wage slave cage door is open - you just don’t realize it. You don’t have to stay in a dead end, unfulfilling job working 9-5 to make someone else rich. You ARE NOT locked in that prison! You CHOSE that prison! But you can still make a different choice. I did. YOU CAN BUILD SOMETHING YOURSELF THAT’S FULFILLING & USEFUL TO YOUR COMMUNITY. Be your own boss. I’ll give you the same advice my dad gave me when I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. Choose a career that you would do for free. Then find a way to turn it into a modest living. After some detours, I finally took my dad’s advice and the joy that my work brings me is why I fight today. I’m fighting for the American dream. I’m fighting for the builders, the entrepreneurs & the middle class - all of whom will become an irrelevant side note in history if this comes to pass. Allowing a corrupt to the core government to have full control of your bank account is a recipe for disaster. Centralized power structures ARE NOT the answer. Decentralized community driven entrepreneurs - WORKING TOGETHER - are the only way forward. ✌🏼

I am convinced that every single episode of Black Mirror was created for the sole purpose of conditioning our society to accept the unacceptable. Predictive programming: Predictive programming is a subtle form of psychological conditioning provided by the media to acquaint the public with planned societal changes to be implemented by our leaders. If and when these changes are implemented, the public will already be familiarized with them and will accept them as natural progressions, thus lessening possible public resistance and commotion.

Sorry, I guess I didn’t realize you had a question. Who is giving Paul & Peter bare necessities? Who foots the bill if it isn’t Paul? Again - free money isn’t free. What we’re discussing is essentially wealth redistribution via taxation, reducing existing welfare benefits or both. Either way, someone loses & it’s not going to be the elites. There are much better answers to our problems than creating “solutions” that only cause more problems for the working man & woman and - in the end will primarily only benefit the elites. Like creating real & enforceable consequences for corporations breaking existing anti-trust laws. Making corporate/foreign lobbying efforts illegal. I have a whole list of immediately workable actions that could initiate lasting economic growth & prosperity. I’ll post them on my timeline tomorrow. I’m interested in your question tho. Respond w/ it if you want & I’ll check it out tomorrow as well. Early bird gets the worm! 😴😴😴

@ResurrectdRelix @jm___123 @elonmusk You didn't answer my question, really. Also, you're not stealing from hardworking Paul and giving to meth head Peter. You're giving both Peter and Paul the bare necessities. I agree our systems are broken but that's bc the people at the top exclusively are benefitting from them.

Your argument is “deeply anti-intellectual”. If everyone gets a “stimulus”, prices go up. Basic economics. My argument directly addressed the flaws in @ivordesign’s premise. Your utopian idea of the future does not comport with the present observable reality. If welfare doesn’t work in its present iteration, what makes you think scaling it up is going to make it work any better? That is my argument in a nutshell.

@ResurrectdRelix @ivordesign @elonmusk You're refusing to engage with question here, and it's deeply anti-intellectual. The idea is not that people on UBI might never have trouble paying the bills, it's that this income would directly help them whether they're working or not, but especially so if they are.

Tell me Mike - how much beautiful architecture do you see in the ghetto? Many of these people survive off of welfare alone. How do they use their spare time? How do you think the nuclear family fares in a welfare nanny state? Marriage rates are almost non-existent in low income welfare households today. No need for the family unit when all of your basic needs are met. What you’re proposing is a LITERAL MARRIAGE to a corrupt to the core govt. I will never accept that union. This is a UTOPIAN PIPE DREAM for entitled consumers with zero foresight. UBI has been tried and it has failed miserably. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Pick up a book. Learn something.

Not much faith in your fellow human. We at our core are just lazy porn watchers to you? Remember when things opened up immediately after Covid and stimulus money was being thrown around? Did people sit around and watch porn? No, they got in touch with new hobbies, picked up old ones they had lost time for, many even realized the path in their whole life wasn’t what they wanted and made big changes for the better. People are resilient and adaptive. It’s what makes us human. With a little more time to think, and less stress we could even see beautiful architecture again for example. Instead of dead and drab building that do make people feel like hamsters in a cage. DMV is a prime example.

That’s where you’re wrong, friend. I work for myself - doing what I love and I am not not rich by any stretch of the imagination but my husband & I make enough money to provide a comfortable life for our family w/o any debt. I’m fighting to protect the American dream. I’m fighting for the middle class, the builders and entrepreneurs that will be smothered out of existence if this madness is implemented. You cannot even see as far as the nose on your face. All you hear is “free money” and you are all in. UBI has been tried and it has failed. Every time.

@ivordesign @elonmusk Do you actually believe that people now currently on welfare don’t worry about bills? How many people in the ghetto do you see innovating? If someone says - “I’m from the government, and I’m here to help…run!

@ResurrectdRelix @elonmusk What if we get everyone to start inventing. Imagine the ideas if a framer has a better way too construct a house or a plumber has a better way connect a pipe. If you have enough people that aren’t worried about bills the solutions are endless

What you’re describing is welfare. Now, I’ll be the first one to admit that our welfare system is broken but the answer is not to make it bigger. The answer is reformation. Reduce waste. Streamline the system etc. But you can’t steal money from “hardworking Paul” to pay “meth head Peter”. While this could initially have the potential to produce impressive economic statistics on paper - it will quickly degrade to a state of entropy. It will not generate the genuine & sustainable prosperity that we all want. At best - growth that consumes its own prerequisites inevitably leads to stagnation. At worst - you can easily imagine how expanding a broken welfare system on a national scale would lead to mass inflation and ultimately the death of the American dollar. But at least we’ll all be EQUALLY impoverished. 😉

@ResurrectdRelix @jm___123 @elonmusk Are people below the poverty line the ones innovating? They don't have time to innovate, they work 50-60 hours a week to barely afford rent. UBI would establish a baseline that prevents people from suffering while still encouraging growth. Nobody is content with bare necessities

I really thought you were better than this, sir. When you stood up to the corrupt corporate/govt covid measures I had the upmost respect for you. I thought you understood that it takes real courage & strength of character to stand up to someone that you generally agree with when they’re wrong. But even if you disagree with Tucker & Kent’s take on the matter, how can you possibly support our president delivering below the belt blows like this to a 20 yr service vet w/ 6 bronze stars - that also lost his wife in service to our country in a war of choice tht very much resembled the war we are in now? I would’ve never called you a “yes” man. But I guess I was wrong. Politics is an ugly game.

@ResurrectdRelix @jm___123 @elonmusk Why does UBI necessitate the removal of entrepreneurialism? Do you think people will just stop innovating and starting businesses if they know they will have the basic necessities to survive, get modest food and water and pay rent? People will always want more.

How can you even respect yourself as a man if you allow the government to do YOUR JOB. What use would your family have for you? How could your wife respect you? It might sound harsh but this is how we’re wired. Find a mate that can help shoulder the burden of providing for offspring & yourself. This is why several poor & marginalized govt subsidized communities in our country have extremely low marriage rates. The nuclear family is almost nonexistent. What you are proposing is a literal marriage to a CORRUPT TO THE CORE government. Good luck with that. I say no. Hell no.

Moreover - no one forced you to work for someone else - filling someone else’s pockets. You MADE THAT CHOICE YOURSELF. The American dream was brought to life by a class of entrepreneurs. I spend my life doing EXACTLY WHAT I WANT TO DO and I am able to provide for my family while doing it. THAT is the dream, my friend. REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE!

Your materialistic things own you. You are a slave to your debt. They don’t provide happiness. Happiness & purpose is found in working to provide for your family’s needs. Go to your local nursing home & ask the nurses how many of their residents are on antidepressants. The happiest patients are the ones that have found a way to be useful in their community. How can you even respect yourself as a man if you allow the government to do YOUR JOB. What use would your family have for you? How could your wife respect you? OF COURSE people will stop innovating bc THERE WILL BE NO INCENTIVE TO INNOVATE. You are so naive, it hurts. There is so much to respond to - I don’t even know where to start. Everyone knows that 3 things primarily drive innovation : need, competition & free markets. All you have to do is look to China to see this playing out in real time. Why are they constantly stealing American patents? Bc in our society - the market rewards new good ideas. In theirs, only state funded & sponsored innovation can thrive. UBI would make work optional and render self-reliance moot. Consumption would become an entitlement officially disconnected from production. A community in which people that are capable of making positive contributions are no longer expected to do so is unlikely to be one in which productive contributions are needed. What about competition & free markets? The consequences of UBI will inevitably wipe out the middle class - THE ECONOMIC BACKBONE OF OUR SOCIETY - AND it will squeeze small mom & pop businesses out of the market as it diverts a finite amount of resources to mega corp monopolies. This makes it even easier for these mega corps to stifle competition and the free market in one fell swoop. Without these forces driving innovation, we will find ourselves looking more & more like the communist welfare state of China. We are building ourselves a prison. An impenetrable control grid & you are on the side lines cheering it on bc - yay! Free money! 😞🙄
