@NonyaBidne94503 @Falenweigh @warrioraspie I think that's adding a lot of unrelated variables lol. Yea I'd love to have a teamate but i'm not planning my edc around that. I think the drawability disadvantage with a fullsize carry vs knife is much smaller than the shootability disadvantage of rifle vs micro carry

@Retardism_2 @Falenweigh @warrioraspie If its an active shooter situation, a full size would naturally be better, youre right about that. But thats only affording you so much. Id rather bank on numbers. Me + even one other guy, both w/ micros, is probably better than one guy w/ a full size

@NonyaBidne94503 @Falenweigh @warrioraspie Idk what 99% of self defense cases are, my assumption is knife attack. Up to the user, but personally I'd be more worried about the most dangerous (within reason) scenario than the most likely. A full size puts me at less of a disadvantage vs an active shooter with a rifle.

@Retardism_2 @Falenweigh @warrioraspie Well sure, full size is gonna be *more* shootable, and it'll be more powerful, more accurate, and have greater capacity. It'll hurt more if you throw it at their head, too. How much does any of that matter in 99% of self defense cases?

@stephkitch93 @Footballfan5455 @TFG_Football Historically those AAV's with cap inflation accounted for have safeties in the same range as guards, and linebackers higher than guards. Runningbacks after ~2015 are valued lower, but in previous eras they had guards beat out considerably.

@Footballfan5455 @TFG_Football Sure, but Average Annual Value salary for guards at the top and across the board is higher than those other positions by a good margin. So while individual players and schemes can have different contexts, the overall point is exactly correct.

@Ninercast @19solz what game(s) did you see a lot of improv on the tape? He was efficient for the most part when I watched, especially on the in breakers. I agree with the point on his releases.

@Retardism_2 @19solz So a Jennings replacement in the first round? Doesn't make any sense to me. Put it this way on timing routes, a staple for Shanahan a must for Purdy. They need timing route efficiency more than most. Boston can struggle to get off the line and can improv routes. Not interested.

@Ninercast @19solz 1. All teams rely on timing routes 2. Boston's is technically sound for the most part in his route running, he just lacks burst. He's efficient, and that's what matters for timing. If the niners could get away with Jennings (technically awful route runner), they can use Boston.

@19solz Drafting Boston on a team that relies on timing routes. Yeah that'll work. I sure hope they don't do this.

@ScoutsVision Solid write-up, but his bend (or lack of) should be listed under “weaknesses”. It shows up quite a bit on his film, and there’s a reason he didn’t do agility testing at the combine.

David Bailey arrived at Texas Tech via the portal after three seasons at Stanford and immediately took over as one of the most disruptive pass rushers in college football. After amassing 15 sacks in those three years with the Cardinal, Bailey got to the quarterback 15 times in one season with the Red Raiders. His college career concluded with 172 total pressures (per PFF), with 34 hits and 108 hurries making up the rest. He also recorded 125 tackles, 19.5 TFL and 9 forced fumbles. Bailey earned unanimous All-American honors and was named Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year in 2025. Measurables: 6'3 1/2", 251 lbs, 33 3/4" arms, 10 1/4" hands, 4.50 40, 1.62 10-yard split, 35" vert, 10'9" broad). Strengths Elite first-step explosion: Bailey routinely beats offensive tackles off the snap and forces them into immediate recovery mode. Rare short-area twitch and reactive agility: Allows him to stack counters, widen his rush arc, and maintain speed through contact. Can drop into shallow zones when asked. Advanced and diverse pass-rush toolbox: Bailey has extremely violent hands, a lethal inside spin, club-swim combos, ghost rushes, rip moves, and smooth speed-to-power transitions among his arsenal. He's a freak athlete but also a technician. Long arms allow him to keep blockers off his chest. Executes stunts well. Excellent bend and leverage: Allows him to dip under pads and shrink the quarterback’s pocket consistently. Bailey is expected to complete, and ace, agility drills at Texas Tech's Pro Day Thursday. High football IQ: The tape shows Bailey is consistently able to read pass sets and adjust his rush plan on the fly. Non-stop motor: Backside chaser who finishes plays across the field from his original alignment on the regular. Reliable wrap-up tackler. Weaknesses Undersized frame: Can be displaced or engulfed by bigger tackles at the point of attack. Inconsistent pad level: Sometimes pad level can rise on contact, causing him to lose leverage against stronger tackles. Limited bull-rush: Needs to get a bit stronger in his lower half. Shows flashes but not quite ready to put this one in his arsenal just year. Freelancing in run game: Bailey can lose gap discipline at times. Bottom Line Bailey is a twitchy, high-motor athlete who translates raw explosiveness into consistent production. He is scheme versatile though maybe better suited to an odd front early on, with early Pro Bowl upside as a designated pass rusher who will eventually develop into a full time 3 down starter. His combination of elite athletic traits, production, and advanced overall move set make him a lock for the top 10 of this draft. Run-defense polish will dictate how quickly he contributes on every down, but the juice is undeniable. #WreckEm

ESPN Sources: Offensive Player of the Year and Super-Bowl champion Jaxon Smith-Njigba reached agreement with the Seattle Seahawks on a four-year, $168.6 million contract extension that now makes him the highest-paid WR in NFL history.  The deal averages $42.15 million per year, and includes over $120 million guaranteed, both setting records for any wide receiver. The deal was confirmed by @WINSportsGroup.

49ers are playing checkers if they won't trade Mac Jones to the Cardinals or trade down with AZ to move up for Ty Simpson in 1st rd. 49ers are playing chess if they get NFCW asking price for Mac so the Cards don't mess around and end up with fast Peyton Manning in 2027 draft.

With college WRs, it's always important to watch whenever they face anything even vaguely resembling press coverage. KC Concepcion passes the test.

@joegreene916 @JayDanielsMVP @nwagoner Thank you, die hard Bay Area fan and sports card trader Joe Greene. I'm sure you have better insight into the situation with a narrative that runs contrary to what Niners beat reporters are portraying about their own team. I truly appreciate your dedicated insight and response.

Notes on WR Brandon Aiyuk via @nwagoner on the John Keim Report: • Doesn’t believe a team will trade for him • Aiyuk “sort of” has a de facto no trade clause; trading team would have to rework his contract in which he can have a say in that. • 49ers “very aware” of Aiyuk’s desire to play in Washington. • 49ers don’t have any picks after fourth round, so late-round pick swap not possible. • Washington has huge advantage over any team because of Jayden Daniels relationship with Aiyuk • [Keim]: Sense is that Washington feels pretty good about Aiyuk from what they’ve heard from Jayden; Sounds like Aiyuk has been working towards playing. • Aiyuk had good reputation with teammates; commanded a lot of respect in locker room.

@TFG_Football I’m happy with my best WR if he can win with the extra attention that “WR1s” typically draw.

"WR1" used to come with the attachment that he must be a Big, "X" WR Type. Nowadays, being a "WR1" should mean you answer YES to the question "are you happy if he is your team's best WR"? Most offenses still want an "X", but it's less & less common for your "X" to be your WR1.
Deandre Hopkins@DeAndreHopkins

The media's idea of wr1 is misconstrued. Target share, volume & being 1st in mind for designed plays is wr1. Zay deserves that. He's one of the best playmakers. Winning 1-on-1, he's one of the best. His best ball is still ahead of him.
