@StevenxTCG Would not be surpised if there are class action lawsuits. If you pay for a year of something in advance, most companies honor that year at the terms agreed if prices change during the contract. When you renew, you pay the new rate. PSA is playing a dangerous game.

@SportsCardNews Vintage cards of star players go up and up over time. Clemente, Mantle, Rose, Robinson, Koufax, Gibson, Maris etc. They are almost risk free ways to participate in the hobby if you are capable of holding for awhile.

@footballcardfun You can buy a $150 raw vintage card (Rose, Clemente, Koufax etc) on Whatnot for $75 all the time if you stay in low pop rooms. Grade the card for $27 and you have spent $102. Sell PSA slabbed card on Ebay for $150 and keep $127.50. You just made $25.50. Rinse and repeat.

You buy a card on eBay for $100. After taxes and shipping, it’s $115. Two months later, comps on the card go up to $150. You sell at a show for 80% Congrats! You just got very lucky and made $5.

@7A10S @CardPurchaser In Vintage. Abolutely. I fix them all the time. I am not a modern card guy, but he has tons of videos of fixing modern cards so I am guessing the answer is also yes.

@YoitisLeo I have sold 100+ cards and always done BIN. Decided to run three highly desirable cards at $1 last week and got smoked on all three. I dont advertise, so maybe that was the issue. Either way, screw the auctions. They rarely come out well for the seller.

I don’t think anything annoys me more than ppl with $100-$400 cards running auctions on eBay starting at $300-$400. Either do a BIN or run a true .99 cent auction. Why are you scared??

@frWEthePeople @joseph_loparo In vintage I would say that there are a few more that could be considered. Jackie Robinson, Satchel Paige, Jim Brown and Babe Ruth rookies are all exceptionally valuable and hard to obtain.

Mantle is a grail. Wagner is a grail. Jordan RC is a grail. Gretzky RC is a grail. Possibly Kobe Rc(debatable) I mean, that's pretty much it as far as grails go. Everything else is just a hype card or a must have, or a PC grail (Note* I'm sure I'm forgetting some football grails)

I’m going to say this as politely as possible… can we stop throwing “grail” around so loosely in the hobby? Huge cards are huge cards. Case hits are case hits. Grails are hobby cornerstones respected for DECADES. Almost unattainable. A 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle is a grail. A Cooper Flagg anime insert from a product released 3 weeks ago is not a grail. @mountaintopcoll @CardPurchaser The hobby has always been strange with certain players. Magic, Bird, Akeem, Robinson, Tim Duncan, Isiah Thomas and others utterly dominated the game and their cards never did much. The hobby chooses around 6 per decade to go parabolic and some of the choices are strange.

Kobe and Shaqs' are always popular for collectors but why doesn't Iverson get much love amongst collectors? What's his most sought after card? @CardPurchaser #Iverson #Kobe #Shaq

Hot take: @CardLadder value is the laziest metric in the hobby with the most clout. Taking the low sale price in the last 20 sales and telling the market that it’s the value benefits nobody! Honestly shocked that @FanaticsCollect anchors to it in BIN… thoughts @CardPurchaser ?

@DesertHeatCards @CardPurchaser They have "rules" with PSA on vintage. If it has a crease, it wont grade above a 4. If corners are rounded, also usually capped at a 4. If the colors are bright and the surface is appealing, sometimes they go higher than that. Most vintage grades 6 or below.

Hey Hobby friends… are older cards (60s and 70s baseball) graded on a “curve” at all with PSA? Meaning, are they more lenient on corners, centering, and blemishes compared to brand new releases? @CardPurchaser

@bosshosssss @kaliboy2306 To a degree, yes they can. If OP gives feedback he is a scammer, he will get bad feedback as well. So many sellers are "scared" of the scammers to protect their rating and just block them. Therefore, they can go for quite awhile unfortunatly.

Question for the hobby! A guy purchased a box of cards off me on eBay. I received a message from him today saying the box was delivered with a shower head in it. He sent pictures but it’s not the box I shipped in. Now he wants a refund. Any suggestions on how to handle this? @CardPurchaser

@pizzaman313 @CardPurchaser OC is explained in other responses. As for what it does to value, an OC card often lowers the value two grades. So a PSA 8(OC) will sell for the price of PSA 6 most of the time in vintage cards.

@NEOCards_Comics They are coming from China. The colors look right. Some even looked aged properly. However, the thickness and card stock is all wrong when you touch them.

New PSA Fraud report this one graph is terrifying. The surge in Modern fakes is crazy.
