Leave this rabbi alone, he isnt a heretic- hes an orthodox Jew that believes in Torah from Sinai and keeps the mitzvot to the best of his ability. You have a vastly different hashkafa than he does. Sadly, yesterday he passed away, and the bereaved family asks that anyone who can come and participate in the funeral, and comfort during shiva.
