In HS my youth pastor abused a girl in my youth group. My dad (the lead pastor) found out. The YP was fired and reported to authorities. He lost his credentials and went to jail. That’s it. That’s the whole story. That’s how these stories should end. Coverups are not ok.

I really wonder if he thinks "no quarter" is something like "we're gonna press the attack, not let up, continue to be aggressively offensive, seize the initiative"... all of which is good in war fighting. But "no quarter" means you kill them when they surrender. It's illegal.

I really do appreciate the intellectual precision here of Webbon… He confidently declares that “ALL black people are lazy.” (As well as “all Jewish people are subversive”) and then, without missing a beat, adds, “of course there are exceptions,” as if stapling that tiny disclaimer onto a racial smear covering every person of said race (which is what the word “all” means, believe it or not) somehow transforms this into a thoughtful, nuanced, morally cohesive position in his mind. LOL We should stop making stupid (and evil) people famous online. Just a thought 🤷‍♂️
