Ok, some of you, the smarter players out there, want to better understand the 'gaming culture war.' Here's the shocking truth: The woke vs. anti-woke narrative is really a Left vs. Center-Left issue. And this is grounded in political discourse theory. The positions of the Center, while appealing to the 'vast majority' are inherently weak and relativist... one argument against them, and it all vanishes. The Center embraces values like free expression and anti-censorship, but the only way the center can justify its existence and prove to the Left and Right 'hey, we have a valid point'... is by adopting the very tactics it claims to oppose... censorship. So, when the radical Left hijacked the entire Western gaming industry, prioritized ideology over gameplay and fully embraced the trans agenda, the Center-Left was the first faction to react. The reality is that the Right has never had a particularly strong foothold in gaming culture. The Right's traditional concerns have been different: family, religion, national identity, economic policy, and limited government while appealing to classical values in arts, especially architecture and literature. Gaming was never a major political battleground for them... until recently. That's why much of what people call the 'anti-woke gaming movement or GamerGate 2.0' isn't really a right-wing movement at all. It's largely made up of politically moderate, center-left, liberal, and 'apolitical' players who became frustrated with ideological activism entering a hobby they enjoyed. Now, as one of the VERY FEW right-wingers in gaming, I believe the real fight isn’t about replacing one orthodoxy with another, but about restoring order to a culture that has drifted away from tradition, beauty and craftsmanship.. The end goal is to restore creative integrity and cultural coherence to the industry, where craftsmanship and great game design matter more than ideological box-checking, and where studios are once again judged by the quality of their work, their merits and their ability to give players memorable games.

He clearly isn't a real Stellar Blade fan if his "game design strategy" expertise isn't telling him that Shift Up is investing in and expanding the IP by not limiting themselves to multiple games with the same MC. If SB:BR does well, eventually the SB IP will have 3x/4x the waifus and become like Nikke. There is a lot of potential for growth.

His definitions of woke and censorship are pretty much correct. But how he thinks we are applying it to Evie is not. We want Evie's design to be better, not censor it. Usually when you are censoring something in this context you are trying to make the character look worse. That's what woke left does. Me, and few others want Stellar Blade sequel to be just as great of game as the original was but with Evie as she currently is, it won't be. Yeah, it will still sell well but it would sell better, if they just kept Eve or made another bombshell of a character that all Stellar Blade fans would have approved. Criticizing the design and wanting to see it improved is not censorship! What woke insane left is doing by reporting them to payment processors and trying get it banned is. That's not us! It's them, always them! This Evie war has three (3) sides. The petition to improve Evie's design already passed the 50 signatures mark. Shift Up is leaving a lot of money on the table by doubling down on Evie's current design. Aesthetically refined character design principles translate into better sales.
