We showed you the look. Now we’re letting you stare. The BMW M3 Touring 24H, from every angle, fresh out of the studio. This wagon didn’t come to pose. It’s here to make even Hell nervous. See you at the 24 Hours. You dreamed it. #WeBuiltIt

Revz' late night rambles... Automobilista 2 is one of my favorite games ever made and is a perfect example of what happens when you leave a very talented Indie development team to be free of publisher constraints. I'm going to ramble on here a little bit about why I love this game so much, but stay tuned for the second post... As I'm going to talk about something that interests me even more... Automobilista 2 covers a vast waft of Motorsports history across the last 50 years, including not just an enormous roster of cars but in many cases the period accurate tracks as they were when those cars raced on them. If you're willing to take a few creative liberties with both generic but authentic race cars and some modern or replacement tracks mixed into the schedule, you can pretty much recreate every single season of F1 from 1966 to the present day. Complete with the cars and tracks constantly evolving and the rules constantly evolving too. Reiza themselves call it the "Automobilista-verse". Getting as close as they can to replicating real life without having to go through the costly and quite frankly and possible task of according all the licenses necessary to do so. As a result in the same game you can race semi trucks, Formula 1 cars of just about every era and specification, NASCAR, CART and Modern Indycar, GT racing from the '70s to today most modern GTP cars, and even rallycross and super trophy trucks, and it's all completely interchangeable too... If you want to race F1 cars on a rallycross course you can do that. Semi trucks vs go karts, around the nurburgring, in a thunderstorm, in the dead of night. Yep you can do that too. From 125CC rental karts to a 2023 spec F1 car, you can literally drive just about anything your heart desires, and they're adding stuff all the time. Just a few weeks ago they completely revamped the 1995-1996 era class, bring in two new cars both with different engines and different driving characteristics, and brought in a brand new 2011 spec first generation Hybrid formula 1 car. The only downside, many of these cars (formula cars especially) are generic models that although built to the same rules and specifications is the real life cars look a little bit different for obvious licensing reasons. Usually they are mixed with real life models when possible. A perfect example is the Formula Vintage Gen 2, which these cars like Brabham's and Lotus 49c racing with the Model 1 V12 and Model 2 V8 Respectfully. However, if you're just willing to use your imagination or you mod in your own paint schemes to fill in the blanks, what you're left with is a simply incredible experience. Unlike any other game available right now, you can take those cars the real models and the generic models clearly inspired by real cars, and race them on the period accurate tracks in which they would have raced in real life. All the danger, all the excitement, of tearing past cows at 190mph in something that looks more akin to a canoe than a race car. One of the most recent DLCs includes a wide variety of 2005 era GT and Prototype machinery and period accurate versions of several tracks they famously raced around. Plus you can mimic the time of day and weather as well. (Although there is some quirks and oddities to how both of those systems work. Hopefully in the future they will be simplified and made more reliable) TLDR, AMS 2 is as close as you can get to a time machine. However there's something else that really fascinates me about this game... See you in post 2

The 1993 Subaru Impreza 555 Group A is one of the most iconic cars in rally history. Its pronounced turbo lag, direct steering, communicative chassis, and highly mechanical all-wheel drive make it a benchmark in 1990s rallying to this day. In the upcoming release 0.4 of Assetto Corsa Rally, you will be able to understand what it means to drive a rally legend in the 90s Assetto Corsa Rally is developed by Supernova Games Studios in technical collaboration with Kunos Simulazioni and published by 505 Games. #assettocorsa #assettocorsarally #acrally
