@NinaSp_Ace @DisneyToonz My cope is that these specials were produced outside of that 40 episode order that seems to be dominated by 11ms (and two 22ms.) Which would mean these were greenlit separate to that contract and they can hire another studio and then prime them for S7 once the old contract is up.

Season 6 of ‘PHINEAS AND FERB’ is set to OFFICIALLY premiere in July 2027. Special episodes for Halloween and Christmas will debut on October 2 and December 2, 2026, before the premiere. A football-centered episode is scheduled to premiere in February. #PhineasAndFerb

@DisneyToonz I'm all for it btw, it gives them more time to iron out the absolutely mind boggling errors that slip through Snipple's QC. I hope it takes 3 years to come out and they force them to taper every single frame so they dont look like stock art.

@DisneyToonz What possible reason could there be for delaying an entire season just for the remaining 10-12 episodes that would likely be finished before Q4 2026? I get the batch method thing but not this far out, it kills viewer retention. This has to be some pipeline bottleneck issue.

@BatteryMill @CartoonGal1 It's why Lilo and Stitch: The Series has decent air time on DC but is relegated to a single 2AM time slot on XD, counter programming.

@BatteryMill @CartoonGal1 Well I wouldn't say it's the same as other pre 2010s toons since this is classified in the EIDR registry as a 5th season to a long running show. DC is just focusing on S5 because it already airs tons of S1-5 on XD as counter programming.

This isn’t even a criticism on season 5. I just don’t understand why Disney Channel only airs season 5 and not the original 4 seasons alongside it. Disney XD airs the entire run of the show but I don’t understand why Disney Channel doesn’t do the same thing. #phineasandferb

@BatteryMill @CartoonGal1 Not really the case when they air Across the 2nd Dimension frequently and sometimes Candace Against the Universe while also airing random episodes of S1-4 for specific events like May 4th, Shark Week, Halfway to Halloween, Monstober, Fa, La, Lalidays, etc

@lilytoots I’m starting to authorize that all of the Phineas and Ferb writers have way too many ideas but can’t figure out how to extend them into long form. Like I think these guys work better with short form for some reason. 😭😭 kind of sad but also kind of interesting.

@gayhustlers One thing maybe you could take away from this if you ever land a job in scripts/boards is to separate your internet slang from your dialogue beats, something Gen Y/and alot of Gen Z can't seem to do. All they know how to do is eat the shows own tail and reference bullshit.

@baaatongus I'd write circles around half of these rooms, because I'd actually contribute something of value other than only deriving my work from inside the show. These younger artists have zero hobbies or interests outside of their favorite show, absolutely no raw life experience to source
