Open Apology Letter to the Obidient Movement My Dear Obidient Family, I come before you today with a heavy heart, deep humility, and no excuses. Some time ago, in a moment of frustration and immaturity, I wrote and released a resignation letter as Director of Mobilization. In that letter, I allowed deep frustration & personal emotions to cloud my judgment. I made statements that subtly and unnecessarily dragged Peter Obi, a man I still respect for his vision, integrity, and sacrifice for this nation. That was wrong. It was childish, and beneath the standard I should have upheld, especially as someone who once held a leadership position in this movement. I take full responsibility. No one forced me to write it. No one edited it. It came from me, and it was a mistake. I deleted the letter afterwards, but I know deletion does not erase the damage, the disappointment, or the loss of trust many of you felt. I understand why some of you no longer respect me the way you once did. You had every right to feel let down. To Peter Obi himself (fondly called PO): Sir, I am sincerely sorry. My words were not a true reflection of the values of sacrifice, accountability, and constructive criticism that you preach. I failed in that moment. To every single Obidient, the ones who stayed grinding, the ones who defended the vision even when it was tough, the ones who felt betrayed by my actions, I am deeply sorry. You are the real heroes of this movement. Many of you are young people full of hope and fire for a better Nigeria. You didn’t deserve to see internal cracks turned into public drama. I let you down. I am not writing this because I want something or a position in the movement as I’m enjoying private life. I am writing it because it is the right thing to do. Leadership is not only about when the road is sweet and smooth; it is also about owning up when you mess up. I own this fully. I am committed to rebuilding trust through consistent actions, not just words. But I also know trust is not demanded, it is earned back slowly, if at all. Thank you for reading this. Whether you accept my apology or not, I respect your feelings and your right to hold me accountable. The love I have for a better Nigeria has not changed. You all know me. My respect for the Obidient spirit remains. I am sorry truly. With humility and hope for forgiveness, Your brother in this struggle, Morris Monye. Oya come let’s hug. 😊

@Revpuritan @Jevrix9 No, the point is she learned the difference between helping people and sacrificing herself endlessly. There’s a difference between compassion and having no boundaries.

Our receptionist had one strange rule: After 6PM, she never answered work calls. Not for clients. Not for managers. Not even for the CEO. People in the office complained constantly. “She’s lazy.” “She doesn’t care about the company.” “She acts like the rules don’t apply to her.” Still, she came early every morning, never missed deadlines, and handled angry customers better than anyone else. One Friday night, a major client called the office repeatedly after hours. The CEO tried reaching her six times. No answer. By Monday morning, everyone expected her to be fired. The client arrived before the meeting started. Instead of being angry, he asked to see the receptionist personally.

@Revpuritan @Urchilla01 The people who were insulting Tinubu at the past are the same people who are working for him today, if you want to win an election you must work with anyone who wants to work with you, one person vote can't make Peter Obi the president, we need everyone's vote including your enem

See, the kind of pain I felt that day, but I just did my mouth pim 🤐 And to think that post came at a time when morale was at an all-time low in the movement, a time when it felt like the flock was scattering; someone to whom such responsibility was bestowed came with a hammer to publicly add a nail to the coffin. Mind you, what pained me the most about that resignation letter was that it had a full CV attached. It was basically "APC, look at my capacity. Give me a call." On that note, it's one of two things: either the phone never rang or it did ring, and the first assignment is to infiltrate the movement as a double agent to prove his worth.

If Obidients are serious, people like Morris and Akintollgate should never near them in that movement again. They might have spent in the movement and performed but they lack tact. Small resignation, he dragged Peter Obi like airport trolley. Like there are no better ways. His outburst made APC miscreants drag that man that day. A childish maniac

A Nigerian politician became governor straight from prison In 2007, Theodore Ahamefule Orji, the Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA) governorship candidate in Abia State, pulled off a historic feat while locked up in Kirikiri Maximum Prison in Lagos. He was awaiting trial on multiple counts of money laundering, fraud and conspiracy. The EFCC had accused him of serving as the conduit through which huge sums were siphoned from Abia State coffers during his time as Chief of Staff to then Governor Orji Uzor Kalu. But even from behind bars, Orji’s name was on the ballot. And the people spoke loud and clear. On April 14, 2007, he defeated his closest rival, Chief Onyema Ugochukwu of the PDP, by a massive margin of 265,289 votes to 136,858. Orji thus became the first governor in Nigeria’s history to win an election while in detention. The drama was pure Abia politics at its most theatrical. Many voters saw his incarceration as political persecution tied to the powerful Kalu dynasty, and sympathy votes poured in. While his opponents were busy campaigning across the state, Orji was issuing statements from his prison cell, his campaign machine running full throttle without him physically present. A few days before his swearing-in, he was granted bail. On May 29, 2007, the man who entered the race as an awaiting-trial inmate walked into the Government House in Umuahia as the third Executive Governor of Abia State. With full immunity from civil and criminal prosecution. From Kirikiri to the hot seat. Naija politics!

@Jevrix9 People call her “lazy” without knowing she lost her mom to an unanswered late call. Yet she stayed on the phone to save another family. That’s real strength. Boundaries aren’t laziness, lack of context is. Respect. ❤️

@JohnOvat5 @Urchilla01 He made this statement but I'm meant to overlook it? Isn't that how Abure tore LP from the inside? Don't we learn everyday? Ever heard of double agents? Sleeper cells? They become a part of you while destroying you from the inside.

Akintollgate is malevolent. Morris has an ego but Akintollgate is a narcissist. Morris is impatient and naive. Morris made a gravious mistake and showed his immaturity with that stupid letter but I won't push him away if I was in Obidient leadership. Akintollgate I wouldn't touch

@Urchilla01 My only input in this is that humans err, and when they realise their mistakes and come back...we should accept them. We need unity now more than ever. Everyone is important and necessary. We need as much people as possible. My two cents

Kwankwaso said the things he said as an adversary. A co-competitor. An opponent! How's that in any way similar to things being said from inside the house? By someone who people believed had access to PO and was in a position to give what could be considered a frank assessment of Peter Obi's leadership qualities? Are you usually this stupid, or is this a seasonal malady?
Tonte@tontebriggs

Kwankwaso said worse about Peter Obi including declaring him unelectable in 2023, today you have nothing to say about him, but Morris that put blood sweat and tears into it is who you have smoke for, because he said how he felt at the time?

@mychael_says @LoveMichae001 @Urchilla01 Going by your logic. It shows he can do it again at a whim. He can defect to another party IF he wins on the wave of PO. Resigning isn't the issue. The MANNER and APPROACH with which he resigned is the problem. Don't you get it?

He resigned damit!! And gave reasons why he did. I do not support his approach but antecedents and his recent trail shows he was perhaps emotional and reckless. Even John the Baptist in the bible sent people to ask Jesus if he was truly the messiah promised after he had announced him as the messiah (I assumed you are a Christian). The PO you are policing who works with him said he likes people who criticise him. And the funniest thing in all this is that PO only joined NDC last week. There are people who joined that party before him who had things to say about him but will have to work with him now. If you don’t get this much, then you have not learned nothing since 2023. They will rig election again and you all will come and tweet hashtag. People you are up against are ruthlessly strategising whilst you are here doing friends and well wishers affair.
