@brianros1 Even if I granted you that frame, you've already moved from "Vivek told a lie" to "well I guess it depends on your point of view." And no, it has nothing to do with morality and ethics. A "health" exception is extraordinarily broad under any reading of the law.

This is why I question the utility of debates. Ramaswamy just stood on national TV and told a flat out lie, and neither journalist moderator said wait a second, that's absolutely false. So any viewer probably assumes it's the truth & comes away misinformed.

The constitutional amendment that passed in Ohio doesn't allow abortions up to birth (Ramaswamy said it does). The amendment only ensures that abortion is available in the state up to viability (so roughly 23 weeks of pregnancy).

@Schilling1776 Because just about all major candidates say they support “exceptions” and then call it “murder” or “killing babies” elsewhere. They support sending doctors to jail for 10 years. True, lots of R voters don’t support that, but they’re not giving the speeches on national or state TV
