I have two clear messages: First, to the United States & Israel: It’s high time to end this war that is risking to get out of control, causing immense suffering on civilians, with dramatic effects on the global economy & potentially tragic consequences, especially for the least developed countries. Second, my message to Iran: Stop attacking your neighbors, they were never parties to the conflict. The Security Council has condemned these attacks, has ordered them to stop, as it has order to open the Strait of Hormuz. The prolonged closure of the Strait of Hormuz causes enormous pain for so many people around the world who have nothing to do with this conflict. It’s time for the force of the law to prevail over the law of the force. It’s time for diplomacy to prevail over war. My remarks from the European Council in Brussels: un.org/sg/en/content/…

2027: I’m Not Sure Of Getting ADC Presidential Ticket – Peter Obi 😭😭 Former presidential candidate Peter Obi has revealed that he is unsure about securing the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 general elections. Obi spoke candidly about the uncertainties surrounding his political journey and ongoing coalition discussions. He noted that while many have questioned his chances within the ADC, there are no guarantees. “I’ve been asked how certain I am that the ADC will give me the ticket. The truth is, I cannot be sure. What matters most is our commitment to a shared cause,” he said. The former Anambra State governor emphasized that his priority is building a movement focused on national interest rather than personal ambition. According to him, the current political environment demands resilience, consistency, and sacrifice especially from those in the opposition. Reflecting on Nigeria’s current state, Obi expressed concern about how the country reached this point and warned against abandoning efforts to create a better political alternative. “I often ask myself how we got here and what could happen if we stop pushing for change,” he added. Despite reports of political pressure and internal challenges, Obi insisted that he remains steadfast in his mission, noting that no form of intimidation has deterred him. Obi further highlighted concerns about trust and loyalty within political alliances, admitting that uncertainty remains a key issue when dealing with different interest groups. “We can’t be completely certain that those we’re working with today won’t walk away tomorrow. That uncertainty is always there,” he stated.

I’m in London with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and we are already making real progress — advancing a major partnership with Coventry University to bring UK degrees to Nigeria. This is personal. For too long, families have had to send their children thousands of miles away in search of quality education. We are changing that. With Coventry University Nigeria, our students will be able to earn fully accredited UK degrees — at significantly lower cost — without leaving the country. As I’ve said, we want Nigerian parents to enjoy having their children at home, while still receiving a world-class UK education. The proposed campus in Alaro City, Lagos will offer Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes across STEMM, Business, and TVET, with admissions expected between Q3 and Q4 of 2026 (subject to approvals). Beyond access, this is about building Nigeria’s human capital — developing the skills, talent, and workforce needed to drive innovation, productivity, and long-term national growth. We are bringing global opportunity home — where it belongs. #alausaedureform #NoDaysOff

They took Tiwa Savage to the UK as part of Nigerian delegation but ignored all the numerous talents we have in Northern Nigeria who deserve to have a seat on that table. The constant humiliation of Northeners by the Tinubu administration will be fully repaid in 2027
