@DanHarmone Mostly because Korras situation was so unique that it would be difficult for anyone but her to walk that path to the end. And I think she should have won more considering her character, the fact she lost so much seems poor and a way to push plot progression similarly.

@DanHarmone I think we misunderstood each other slightly. I think Aang would get fucked up just as badly as Korra, but I just think he wouldn't have gotten to the same point Korra did because differences in personality would create a different outcome that's less severe. -

I have a genuine concern for that part of the fanbase of Avatar community. Do you guys realize you all sound dumb blaming korra for Harmonic Convergence like she planned it, when it was a one-off cosmic event driven by Unalaq and Vaatu. She reacts to a situation no Avatar had ever faced and still manages to restore balance and keep the world intact. Meanwhile, Aang literally gets taken out in the Avatar State by Azula and nearly ends the cycle, and the fandom treats it as tragic, not incompetence. Same stakes but different framing. Korra’s mistakes are judged as personal failures while Aang’s are framed as circumstances.

@sandybeachstt Worse is that Aang didnt even fight, he got sniped because he decided to just float in the air instead of getting out of that crystal shell knocking down everyone with an air shockwave or something.

@DanHarmone Aang would have made different fuck ups, but ones that probably would have got him in less severe circumstances. Korra is written in a way that caters to her personality where problems either get worse until/or land where her usual way of acting eventually can fix the issue

@Reynard_Ruse aang would absolutely get manipulated if given korras conditions. He made blunders too, Korra is just written to face consequences.

@archie_fish @DanHarmone He didn't end it because it was still intact after his reign, while as Korra ended it definitively because it was not intact.

@DanHarmone Aang didn't nearly end the cycle, he DID end it, that one rock that unblocked his chi and restored his connection to the avatars during the final fight was a 1 in a million chance and had they fought enywhere else bum ass bald aang would have been teeth to curb

@SoliSolitaires Some of yall are acting like demographics are sexist at this point. Yeah in the 80's they targeted men and not women but that's because a demographic majority was men. That's like calling doll companies sexist for making them and the color palette mostly for little girls

@FlutterMane22 @SoliSolitaires It wasn't sexist they just used the limited data they had and realized more males were playing arcades and such so they played into the demographic. It was never male only it was a demographic majority at the time

It's true. Aang wasn't perfect, but he didn't mess things up nearly as bad as Korra 😂

Why didn't Iroh save zuko from Ozai here, it was an Agni Kai but what if zuko got killed?
