@FootballCliches Would like to see England put a ball in behind every now and then, stretch the defence.
English

"Ending the Hundred's India-Pakistan concern" is a bit of a stretch. Only three of the eight teams bid on a Pakistani player, meaning most did not.
One of the teams, Surrey/Mumbai Indians-owned MI London, didn't bid on a single Pakistani or British-Pakistani player.

@danielstorey85 Ludicrousness of the Championship. Plenty of owners putting 20 / 30m a year in to be also rans

Bristol City are stuck in their own Groundhog Day loop. Fans are finally getting angry. Why is promotion always someone else's dream?

@TheVan @bfatchett We know he isnt a world beater hence Bristol moved him on but the other 2's confidence had been destroyed & we had no funds. Symptomatic of how the season has gone
English

@bfatchett @TheVan It hit the bar think anyone was struggling to get that
English

@TheVan Agreed. Thought keeper was slow to move. Sorting that situation is crucial for next season.
English

@WBABenbow Been pretty resigned to it since the 1st few Ramsey games tbh. Seen enough relegations to know that drawing games you should win is the killer
English

@Reynox78 Agreed. The appointment of Ramsey is what has sent us down. Just don’t see us picking up the wins we need now. Have to go from winning 0 in 13 to 4 of the last 9.
English

@MaybedocI @CarterRunMDC Bottom line Saints are quite a bit better than us. Will be a surprise if we can beat them
English

@CarterRunMDC On the other hand, maybe the team will be better at it after playing a game in that formation? Am I clutching at straws?
English

@AllAlbionFans But boring apparently for some fans at the time
English

On this day 3 years ago, we beat Huddersfield Town 1-0 at The Hawthorns.
Swift scored from the spot to take our home record to an incredible 10 wins and a draw from 11 games with only 1 goal conceded.

@harrisc_04 @kierandoody Tony Bloom has put over 400m into Brighton. If you look at the number most years they are running a significant loss still
English

@Reynox78 @kierandoody Brighton and Brentford are pretty good at it
English

People have questioned the lack of strategy at #wba this week. For me, the strategy has been clear, particulalry regarding recruitment and it's backfired spectacularly. #wba

English

@kierandoody @chrislepkowski Have they tried saving the game then rebooting and playing the game again when they lost? That's what I used to do
English

@chrislepkowski Yep, I think that’s what it feels like like watching it tbh. The squad is just a disaster in every department.
English

@CJHall83 @0wenWB4 @stevenshiels Normally TD / Sporting Director would be above all of recruitment, coaching, academy etc? Proof will be in the pudding like all these things
English

@0wenWB4 @Reynox78 @stevenshiels I don’t disagree with your logic but I can only tell you what I understand - which is the same as Steve, as far as I know he won’t be involved in player recruitment.
Let’s be fair, it’s not the first weird decision this season
English

A welcome addition but staggering this could mean more responsibility for Pearce now Nestor is gone.
Pearce’s record is pretty awful especially in the loan market & he’s another who hides in the shadows & never speaks.
I believe he’s part of the problem not the solution!
#wba
Steve Hermon@SteveHermon
Albion confirm the appointment of Dominic Price as Technical Director. The 35-year-old has worked at Blackpool, Liverpool & Maccabi Tel Aviv. He’ll oversee multiple departments, but won’t be responsible for recruitment. More info on #WBA @BBCSport page: bbc.co.uk/sport/football…
English

@stevenshiels @CJHall83 'Squad Planning' suggests an element of identifying targets etc?
English

@CJHall83 I wonder if it's worth trying to give some insight into the structure from your time at the club? The concept of splitting recruitment from the tech dir role sort of makes sense and I think it gets lost that DA had strong 'heads of' in place for the disciplines Price picks up.
English

@Reynox78 @kierandoody Bostock Jimoh & maybe price as rw? He isn’t creating much in the 10 but I prefer him to Wallace. Get dike up front. Whitwell next to Mowatt. Just try something different . Campbell in at cb and try Imray right back.. unsure what else we can do
English

That Mikey Johnston news is the final nail in the coffin imo. Mozza hinted at just putting big lads on and hoping for set-pieces after the Oxford defeat. He has no choice now. We have no threat in attacking positions. #wba
thebaggies.news/news/alarming-…
English

@kierandoody Could maybe bring in Whitwell for him but its a big ask. Don't think we can play 5 at the back as Gilchrist looks mentally shot. Campbell, Taylor, Bielick maybe as a 3 but doesn't stike me as secure!
English

@Reynox78 I actually agree, I thought he played well there and moved the ball quickly which is our biggest problem and why we don't score from open play. Diakete isn't ideal but it's where we are currently. I'd also drop Maja.
English

@PaulDoh88239513 @TheLiquidatorP1 @GoldbergRadio @chrislepkowski Squad is looking threadbare now with the injuries, heads are down and hard games coming up. Will be a miracle if they can turn this around
English

@TheLiquidatorP1 @GoldbergRadio @chrislepkowski We have to be realistic,he doesn’t have great options 3 forwards that have scored 9 goals between them all season , MJ and grant injured, 4 loan players in January no better than we had , give the lad a chance
English

"Mozza now has got to be bold. He's got to be braver - not just in his team selection, but also in his formations as well - because we need to start winning games very, very quickly."

@John_Stepek @IGMansfield What are their pension contribution % as that comes out for childcare funding plus they would need to declare rental income / 2nd job income etc!
English

@IGMansfield Haha no chance, there'll be a lot more kids in the chamber if that's what happens
English

I wonder how many MPs will try to decline the pay rise to avoid the loss of free childcare that kicks in at £100k.
