TCG(m) Here's our down and dirty guide to card shows: - Buy what you like - Don't focus on "investing" when you're new - Rip at least one pack while there for the culture - Bring all your bulk, coins, stickers, etc to give out to the kids - Shower and deodorant - Bring cash and ask for cash discounts - Shows are hectic. do a bit of research beforehand. Few things you really want, price range, etc. - Pay for early admission, get there early, make a very very quick first round, find all vendors with what you really want. Make note of price and circle pack to cheapest vendors first - Negotiate hard and use multiple places for comps (ebay last sales, tcgplayer market price, tcgplayer lowest price) - Liquidity matters a lot for trades - On the two above, vendors pay a booth fee + travel + lodging. They usually mark price up above market. Getting price down to market or slightly below market is a win. You can argue theyd make less selling on ebay/tcgplayer and should give you a deeper discount but you also don't get the in person inspection when buying online - Shows are hectic. Do a bit of research beforehand. If theyre clearly uninterested or rude let them know and don't give them your money - Don't bother with the booths that are clearly retail goblins trying to offload their product - Get everyones cards once a show is over, vendors are more likely to drop price a bit to sell off ebay/tcgplayer

It’s an absolute travesty that this card is this price. What was once the crown jewel of the Scalet & Violet base set is now an afterthought to many.

@ColonnaContempo I hear you. These algos prioritizes things in weird ways. Some of my most viewed tweets are about my medical stuff from last year, less so on my art or writings. It is what it is.

Seems like the secret to cracking the algorithm is a going out of business announcement. Almost 20k views in last two tweets. 😂
