The first soccer team in Rochester was formed 130 years ago today, April 8, 1896.

@Anth1923 @FlowerCityUnion Unless I’m mistaken, that’s a surprisingly really expensive fix. And it would be on the city because it’s their stadium. So they’re reluctant to expend a large amount of money for something so small.

@FlowerCityUnion Great season. Michigan blocked a ton of shots in this game. One suggestion for next year, please fix the scoreboard and add a lightbulb so it reads 8 instead of 9. Some people thinking it was the 90th minute, instead of 80th.

@frankmSounders He went on to play 5 games (197 minutes) for the Rochester Raging Rhinos in 1997 and disappeared. By 1998 no one even knew where he was.

Joe Sirianni from @radiosoccer has the nickname "Red Card" due to his ass pinching distraction in the Lancers days. However, he must be the only trainer to get a red card for two different teams, as he also received one in 1981 for the Flash.
