I didn't study a lick of AI in college. I had studied computer science at MIT, but because I had been interning and working in quant trading, it was much more statistically focused than anything related to machine learning. For anyone else looking to get started, Cursor is an incredible first step for going from something you are more familiar with, like the traditional IDE, to understanding how AI can accelerate your current work. #sponsored #cursorpartner @cursor_ai

I think it’s time to revisit the accredited investor laws in the US. Companies are staying private longer, where only accredited investors (aka rich people!) can invest. Retail investors can only come in after IPO, when much of the upside has already been captured. These rules were created with the best of intentions, to protect regular people from scams - a noble idea. Unfortunately, in practice they've often made it illegal to get richer, unless you're already rich. A regressive tax! We have to judge policies based on their outcomes, not on their intentions. These are two possible routes I see: 1) Replace the rule with something merit-based, like a financial literacy test. Pass it and you're accredited. Having a qualification based on competency rather than your bank balance or income seems far more fair. 2) Remove the rule entirely. Let consenting adults assess their own risk. Disclosure requirements stay and fraud enforcement stays to punish bad actors.

🚨 THIS IS HOW $SPCX ACTUALLY PLAYS OUT FROM HERE Day 1 opens with a pump - retail floods in, peak FOMO, headlines everywhere Insiders sell into every green candle That's not cynicism - that's how 93% of major IPOs have behaved historically Then comes the part nobody talks about on launch day: Months of slow bleed while retail holds and prays Momentum fades, attention moves on and another narrative takes over Most day-one buyers end up underwater - sometimes for years Meta IPO'd at $38 in 2012, dropped 53% in 100 days The people who waited 6 months bought at $17 from the people who bought the hype Same pattern now $1.77T valuation at listing with 95% insider ownership is not an entry point It's an exit point - just not yours Two ways to play this: 1. Buy today and fund the insider unlock schedule 2. Wait until nobody cares, valuation reflects reality, and you buy from the people who bought from them Same asset, six months apart - completely different trade I'll be watching the 6-month window Follow + notifs on, I will keep you updated

I'm not a securities lawyer, but I think they may technically have to file an updated prospectus with this guidance. Also, I think there's no safe harbor here as there would be with regular guidance. Fun times.

Developer locks up 100 acres at a brand-new highway off-ramp in a booming area. A big-box retailer wants the site… but refuses to lease or pay market price for it. They pick up the phone and call the city: “Use eminent domain, take the land from this guy, hand it over to us for free — and we’ll build a shiny new store in your town.” City says yes. Land gets seized. Compensation fights drag on. And suddenly… there’s a new store in town.

@biglithium What’s unamerican is the fact we can’t invest in private companies unless we are already rich.

@1a1n1d1y @jmdagdelen Yeah, why not? You ever run a flipper? Check out The Joe Rogan Experience (Episode #2394). Palmer Luckey explainins the extreme and often aggressive industrial espionage tactics used by Chinese entities to exfiltrate proprietary data from Western defense and technology companies.

@1a1n1d1y @strat0manc3r @jmdagdelen You have no idea what you are talking about... They have more sophisticated means of data exfil than you could ever imagine. And for what? Saving 5-10%? And if you are trying to reindustrialize America, you should pride yourself in purchasing from America.

your wifi won’t magically let the machine into it, you’d have way bigger problems otherwise never connect the bambu to the internet at all, not once, it’s easy. sdcards are a pain, you can still network deploy (especially using my fleet mgmt feature on my platform) you can create a 1-way server for your fleet that receives ssh but can’t send, then dispatch to that server if you don’t have an airgapping data xfer hardware. otherwise airgap the dispatch to that fleet server literally easy

@1a1n1d1y @jmdagdelen Palmer lucky literally said the Chinese put trackers, networks and listening devices in various components, and Anduril has found these multiple times. It's required... When i was at Tesla helping with the Shengzen factory, they literally had party reps in the negotiations.

@babugi28 I check those boxes, not Mandarin. How do you source from China when Xi has said for the military to be ready for a Tawain invasion by 2027? Don't ya think that's a bit counter productive to be sourcing from a nation with 3 week boat time and a upcoming clash with the US?

If you’re a hardware engineer at Tesla, Meta Reality Labs, or Apple who understands how robots are built and have worked with sensors and cameras, I’ll fly you out tonight to our SF office. $150–200k cash + strong equity compensation. Mandarin speaking required. 5-10k hiring bonus for anyone you source, based on role.

By the end of 2026, more workers will be wearing hardware during their everyday jobs to generate training data than not. On Tuesday, we’re releasing our fundraising announcement, and we’re hiring across all roles: jobs.ashbyhq.com/humanarchive

I almost passed on Perseus Defense because they had zero ARR. That would have been the worst mistake of my career. Applying SaaS metrics to defense hardware is like judging a nuclear submarine by its app store rating. Perseus was founded by an engineer who led NASA's Titan Dragonfly program and another who built autonomous systems for Boeing and USV swarms for the Navy. The Ukraine conflict proved that $500 drones can destroy $100M military assets. Perseus was solving that problem at speed - a functional micro-UAS prototype in one week, two guided missile versions a month later. The DoD at the table is the early customer. That's not a pipeline. That's a market validation no ARR dashboard can replicate. Stop asking hardware founders about recurring revenue. Start asking whether the problem they're solving can afford to wait.

Mark Cuban says one of his companies is saving $50K/month using an AI agent that just takes pictures "One of my Shark Tank companies is called RebelCheesedotcom, they sell vegan cheese and ship it all over the world and they like a lot of companies that ship products in boxes" "You know there's different size boxes for UPS or DHL and there's a different price to ship to a different zone, also they don't ever charge you the right price" "So they wrote a little agent that took a picture of the box when it's getting ready to ship and determined the size looked at the price list, look at the invoice, took a picture of the invoice, compared them and when they were different created the credit request and are saving $50,000 a month and it's all automated they don't have to touch it"
