Last night @itnoydfilm was screened @RoyalAlberta. The conversation that followed was robust and passionate. I thank the panelists and film director @GisellePortenie for working to educate the public on Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting. #EndFGM. #16DaysOfActivism #AbLeg

We are delighted to meet volunteers from Canada who are contributing to Tanzania’s development. @CanadaDev supports their work in Tanzania as a means of contributing to positive change in the lives of Tanzanians and to offer an opportunity to share their skills and knowledge.

Met the amazing advocate Onyinye Chukwunyerenwa @itnoydfilm screening with @Leela Aheer last night: “Female genital Mutilation #FGM has nothing to do with culture. It is child abuse & human rights abuse. The only culture in the fight to #EndFGM is the #CultureOfSilence.”

Tonight our film about the bravest girls screens to a sold-out crowd at the Royal Alberta Museum @RoyalAlberta; it’s a cinema verite fly-on-the-wall story about girls standing up for their human rights & @Rhobi15 who protects them. But #FGM is a global issue. We all need to care!
