It was a gold rush on day four in Portugal! 🥇 🇵🇹 Erin Boothman (junior women’s kilo), Archie Gill (junior men’s sprint) and Iona Moir (under-23 women’s sprint) all made it on to the top step of the podium on another fantastic day at the 2025 UEC Track Juniors/U23 European Championships. Boothman twice set a new junior world record on her way to the European title, while Gill and Moir both won their sprint finals in impressive fashion. Elliot Rowe (under-23 men’s point race) and Rhian Edmunds (under-23 women’s sprint) both claimed bronze medals to add to the Great Britain Cycling Team’s tally. Elsewhere, Evie Smith was eighth in the junior women’s kilo, while Ioan Hepburn narrowly missed out on the podium, finishing fourth in the junior men’s sprint. Izzy Sharp was sixth in the under-23 women’s points race, while in the junior omnium, Phoebe Taylor and Max Hinds finished fourth and 17th respectively. Full report: bit.ly/3TDSsEv

More medals on the penultimate day in Portugal! 🥈 Rhian Edmunds claimed the Great Britain Cycling Team’s second women’s kilo medal of these Championships with a brilliant second place ride in the under-23 women’s event. Teammate Lucy Glove was 10th. The under-23 men’s sprint was Marcus Hiley and Oli Pettifer go head-to-head in a medal ride for bronze. Hiley came out on top, claiming the final podium spot. Archie Gill continued a fantastic week for himself with a silver in the junior men’s keirin, adding to his personal medal tally. Kristian Larigo, Eve James and Bronwen Howard-Rees put in good rides but were all out in first round repechages of their respective events. There was success for the endurance team too with Maddie Leech taking silver in the under-23 women’s omnium after an impressive final points race. Noah Hobbs was sixth in the under-23 men’s omnium, while Evie Smith and Albie Jones were eighth and 14th in the junior points races. Full report: bit.ly/3TDSsEv

We also took the time to help wherever we could, serving food, cleaning & sorting through donations. It felt great to get out of the office/gym for the day and experience all the important work The Wellspring is doing in our community. Thank you for opening your doors to us!

Got it on the line 💪 It's a third medal of the week for Katy Marchant in an exciting women's keirin final. She just pips her teammate Emma Finucane in a photo finish. #Ballerup2024
