@seth_fin I think the current set up is similar to mid 2020 (which the chart supports): dip in BTC.D soon as BTC bottoms, then BTC.D will rip hard to the top of the range as BTC moves first followed by a sharp move down in BTC.D to the bottom of the range as ETH then other alts follow

Oil presents a short term (but one-off) inflation risk but unemployment seems a much bigger risk given the cascade of AI-driven redundancies has already started. The Fed has a dual mandate to manage both. Reduced consumer spending on unemployment fears, a faltering stock market and a dire real estate market suggest inflation will drop once the Iran war is resolved. Meanwhile faltering growth (just 0.7% annualised GDP in Q4) and markets suggest unemployment is about to accelerate. The Fed is currently split on cuts this year: - 7 participants projected no rate cuts in 2026 (maintaining the current fed funds target range around 3.50–3.75%). - 7 projected one cut (25 bps total easing). - 2 projected two cuts (50 bps). - 2 projected three cuts (75 bps). - 1 (Stephen Miran) projected four cuts (100 bps). Asset prices indicate things are already moving fast below the surface. History suggests the Fed is often slow to react. JPow oversees one more meeting before Warsh takes the chair. As Trump's pick, Warsh will move quickly imo. I expect increasing unemployment, a reduction in oil prices following resolution in Iran and expanding liquidity to drive a surge in asset prices in the scond half of this year, similar to the pandemic boom.
