Barkley’s Suns won 62 games and had KJ and Majerle. The Sonics won 64 games with Payton and Kemp. The Jazz made back-to-back Finals with Stockton and Malone. The Lakers had Magic. Portland had Clyde. Phoenix had an MVP in Barkley. MJ didn’t beat random teams, he beat elite teams so consistently people started pretending they weren’t elite after the fact.
