Genuinely dont know anyone who can lie this much and keep getting away with it. - said he couldn't do surgeries in Clacton because security concerns, so what did he use the £5m for as it wasn't security?!? -if If this was for personal security. Why does he claim his security detail as a parliamentary expense?!? And why did he take £5million in that case..for what exactly was it "given" ?

Farage: "I've been the most physically attacked politician of modern times." Nigel's physical attacks: - An egg in Nottingham (2014) - A milkshake in Newcastle (2019) - A milkshake in Clacton (2024) - Wet cement and a coffee cup in Barnsley (2024) - firework through letterbox of his empty house (2025) Other British politicians' physical attacks in same era: - Jo Cox, Labour MP: shot and stabbed to death, 2016 - Sir David Amess, Conservative MP: stabbed to death at his constituency surgery, 2021 - Stephen Timms, Labour MP: stabbed at his constituency surgery, 2010 - Andrew Pennington, MP's aide: killed defending Lib Dem MP Nigel Jones from a sword attack, 2000 - Mike Freer, Conservative MP: stood down in 2024 after his office was set on fire and he received credible threats to his life Nigel needed £5 million from a Thai crypto billionaire to protect him from milkshakes, eggs and wet cement.
Politics In The U.K.@politixintheuk

Farage insists the £5m gift he received from a Thai crypto billionaire was legal, saying: “There is no obligation to declare something that is a non-political, personal gift, and it will ensure I can be safe for the rest of my life.”

FIONA HILL: Massive weakness of Trump that Russia exploits is that Putin knows Trump himself is very prone to conspiracy theories. Putin knows that Trump lives in a world of memes and tropes on Truth Social, and he will take on board almost anything that is fed to him. When I was in Trump’s first administration, Trump would sometimes pick up on things, and you’d realize, “This is Russian propaganda.” That’s actually what I said during first impeachment. Russians are just amplifying all of this because they know Trump will believe it.

Donald TRUMP and his proxies are Putin’s puppets. Russian AGENTs! A far-fetched claim or a valid one? Remember that he said, during a conversation with Elon Musk in August 2024, that if things went wrong for him, the safest place for him would be Venezuela. Let’s analyse this further, as this political suspicion leads to claims such as ‘The Trump administration is in the process of rescuing the Russian regime, which it needs to extort money from Europe,’ as stated by Françoise Thom, a historian and specialist in the Soviet Union and post-communist Russia. What is the documented basis for this suspicion? 📜 Trump – Russia / Pro-Kremlin networks 1980s 1987: Donald Trump’s trip to Moscow at the invitation of the Soviet government to discuss a hotel project. Fact: official invitation, no project realised. Interpretation: first official contacts with Soviet networks. 1990s – Early 2000s 1996–2002: Several trips to Russia to explore property projects (Moscow Tower, St Petersburg Tower). Fact: projects abandoned. Interpretation: persistent desire to establish a foothold in the Russian market. 1998–2005: Financial difficulties for the Trump empire → emergence of foreign investors, including those from the former USSR. Fact: certain transactions linked to offshore funds attributed to oligarchs. 2008 Dmitry Rybolovlev, a Russian oligarch, buys a mansion in Palm Beach for $95 million, approximately $40 million above Trump’s purchase price. Fact: public sale. Interpretation: transaction deemed overpriced, possible transfer of value. 2013 Organisation of the Miss Universe pageant in Moscow, sponsored by Aras Agalarov, a tycoon close to the Kremlin. Meeting with high-level Russian political and business figures. Fact: official and widely publicised event. Interpretation: consolidation of Russian-Trump business relations. 2015–2016 (Presidential campaign) Confidential discussions regarding the “Trump Tower Moscow” project via Michael Cohen, whilst Trump publicly stated he had no business ties with Russia. Paul Manafort joins the campaign team (close ties with Viktor Yanukovych, the pro-Russian former Ukrainian president, and Russian oligarchs). Michael Flynn attends an RT gala dinner in Moscow, sitting next to Putin. Interpretation: implicit political alignment with a thaw in relations with Moscow. 2017–2020 (Presidency) Repeated criticism of NATO, threats of a partial withdrawal of US support for Europe. Minimal reaction to documented Russian interference in the 2016 elections. Initial refusal to criticise Putin publicly, including at the Helsinki summit (2018). However, tightening of certain sanctions against Russia and deliveries of lethal weapons to Ukraine (Javelin). Interpretation: contradictory policy, but with numerous signals perceived as pro-Moscow. Since 2021 Statements suggesting that, under his presidency, Putin would not have invaded Ukraine. Criticism of US military aid to Kyiv. Interpretation: public discourse that aligns with current Russian interests. 🔍 Summary of the body of evidence Financial networks: direct links with several oligarchs close to the Kremlin. Diplomatic ambiguities: positions that sometimes align with Russian strategy, particularly regarding NATO and Ukraine. Public denial of links despite ongoing property projects in Russia. This body of circumstantial evidence allows analysts such as Françoise Thom to refer to him as an “agent” in the political sense, even without proof of an operational intelligence link.

🤔 I'm not a pedophile, - Trump reacted to the shooter's manifesto in the hotel Host: "The so-called manifesto... he wrote: 'I'm no longer willing to let a pedophile, a rapist, and a traitor stain my hands with his crimes'. What's your reaction to this?" Trump: "Well, I was waiting for you to read this, because I knew you would, because you... you're terrible people. Terrible people. Yes, he wrote this. I... I'm not a rapist. I didn't rape anyone" Host: "Do you think he meant you?" Trump: "I'm not a pedophile. Excuse me. I'm not a pedophile. Did you read this nonsense from some sick person? I've been linked to all sorts of things that have nothing to do with me. I was completely exonerated. Your friends on the other side of the barricades were involved, let's say, in the Epstein cases or other similar things. But I said to myself: 'You know, I'll give this interview'. I read the manifesto. You know, he's a sick person. But you should be ashamed of yourself for reading this, because I'm not like that" Host: "Mr. President, these are the words of the shooter" Trump: "You shouldn't have read this on the '60 Minutes' program. You're a disgrace. But go ahead. Let's finish the interview"

@CosmicSkeptic I'm not going to critique your analogy, but I feel I should explain that my point wasn't trying disprove the existence of gods. It was pointing out to monotheists, who can't imagine how I could not believe in their particular god, that they do the very same with the other gods.

Important to be accurate on an explosive issue when most voters wrongly believe small boat crossings are rising and Reform and Conservative politicians want to keep people ignorant about what's really happening.
Sunder Katwala@sundersays

"Small boat crossings are still increasing" reports the BBC's flagship Radio 4 Today programme, wrongly. Editors could check BBC Verify, which reports they are down 35% year on year in 2026. The trend began Sept 2025, though crossings were rising 2022-25
