If the blockade is causing so much pain on Iran, how come they have zero interest whatsoever in negotiating?
Oh that’s right, because a regime that has been under severe economic pressure for 47 years was NEVER going to fold in the face of slightly more pressure for a couple of months when they hold once in a lifetime leverage with their control over the Strait.

The fact that Oman is willing to get involved in this now means:
-The US has signaled some willingness behind the scenes to allow a Strait toll.
-The toll will likely be more moderate than just an Iranian one.
-We're likely closer to an agreement than is expected.
-The agreement will strongly favor the Iranian points.
-Oil will come down due to increased shipping, but likely not reach old lows due to increased tolls.
