Most of the negative reactions to the Lawrence trade assume he's declining and the Bengals were going to be able to draft a stud defensive player at 10
But who knows if those things are true! What if he's just awesome again? What if the 10th pick would've busted? Who knows!

The #Bengals deal for Dexter Lawrence is pending a physical, obviously.
But this is the most out-of-character move by this franchise in a generation.
The urgency and all-in talk this offseason amid years of defensive frustration finally produced a change in philosophy.

Caden Curry is an extreme outlier with length. He has the shortest arms we've ever seen from an Edge player at 30⅛"
And then all he did for Athletic Tests were the Bench (26), 3-Cone (7.22) and Shuttle (4.51).
All average overall, but we don't have his speed or explosion (jumps).
But yes, he was a productive run defender despite his size limitations. I'd take him in the 5th.

@BengalsTalkSI No. Every player who becomes available isn't a trade target. Lawrence isn't worth the contract he has let alone the contract he thinks he deserves. Last thing the team needs is a disgruntled selfish player.
