@AlexandreRiley Ahh, I love this Alex. It’s what it’s all about. I had a similar one where I really thought he might be lying dead in his kitchen but he was actually island hopping in the West Indies.

I've had a client for 10 yrs who's never failed to stay in touch. He hasn't replied to any emails since Christmas. I was getting worried something had happened so I called him, no answer. Called his wife. No answer. Eventually got a WhatsApp. Retirement is treating them well.

@philbray73 That said, whenever we’re especially busy and staff genuinely work above and beyond they have always been given a bonus that is beyond their hourly pay.

@philbray73 There’s a difference between overtime and simply working past 5.30pm. Our staff have lots of flexibility and most work outside of business hours is simply making up time rather than overtime. Genuine overtime should be rewarded but there needs to be give and take on both sides.

@DavidPenneyPRW It needs to be a double lock applied over a rolling period. So the higher of earnings and inflation over the medium/long term but not applied as the higher of either each year. Not ideal simplicity-wise but there must some straightforward calculation basis to make it work.

I think this is a form of double lock. State pension to increase in line with earnings, but if earnings fall, prices used instead.

@ivor_park_fin Officials tend to play on for offsides and only look at them if there’s a goal. Those should be 90 seconds or the goal stands.

My new proposed VAR rule. You have 90 seconds to reach a decision. If you can't decide after a minute and a half, it's not a clear and obvious error and the referee decision stands.
