The unfortunate police officer was the classic case where the experiment was a success, but the patient died - because the team didn’t have sufficient penicillin to complete the treatment.

UPDATE: The Parole Board will hold an oral hearing to decide whether to release my rapist on the 14th of February. Valentine’s Day. So I can either go on the nice spa trip I had planned or observe the hearing. Every time I think the justice system can’t get worse and it does.

PAROLE UPDATE: I was told today that the Parole Board couldn’t come to a decision on whether to release my rapist from prison early. They will now hold an oral hearing, which I can request to attend, in February and make their decision then.

I was raped in my own home on a New Year’s Eve. Since my rapist was found guilty in 2023, I’ve tried to reframe New Year positively. I can’t bring myself to celebrate it at home, so every year I travel to a different city. I’ve done Riga and Brussels, and this year I’m in London!
