Please consider objecting to plans to demolish the Edwardian bank facade at the corner of Gloucester Rd and Longmead Ave, by the Golden Lion. pa.bristol.gov.uk/online-applica…
The developer previously had plans approved to *keep the existing facade* and build nine apartments. They started work, demolished much of the interior, took out windows and the roof, and then it has been untouched for a couple of years, exposed to the elements. Local residents have long suspected that the plan may have been for the building to be so destroyed by weather conditions that it would have to be demolished.
There don't seem to be any detailed plans for what they hope to build in its place, but the proposed elevations are huge - much larger than the previous elevations and plans.
Save this piece of Gloucester Rd architecture.

Looks like the loading bay on Nelson Street is getting some Bollards. 🙂
It's still a narrow cycle path.
The builders say it's 1.5m.
LTN1/20 requires it should be 2m. 🤨
