Might sound crazy but with the LW market I think an attacking LB makes more sense this summer We are going to spend maybe £200m on 3 midfielders, need a CB too. Diomande/Barcola for £100m are high risk + probs not financially feasible. Do we even know if Barcola would leave?

Many of the arguments claimed these would buys would serve us well post Amorim as well. That was never true. Mbeumo Amad clash, Cunha position issue & midfield gap becoming larger if Bruno doesn't play there or 3 are required to start - were all post Amorim issues we have to face

Got lot of pushback when I said last summer TW was bad. Essentially we bought a chaos ball #10, RW who competes with Amad in any normal formation & GK who isn't elite. For 200m+. Just added clutter up front & didn't address midfield or defence. Recruitment continues to be bane.

The club's mindset for this window seems to be "If we buy the 3 best PL attackers outside the top 6 for our front 3, all our problems will be solved" Personally don't agree with this thought process at all, given where we have struggled as a team in the last few years.

And because you should be trying hard to upgrade with pitching too. There are tons of ways to maximize the roster. Find guys that hit _ sided pitching well, boost your depth.
