Last year a russian missile killed 9 Ukrainian children - the highest number of children killed at once in a single russian strike. • Tymofii, 3 years old • Arina, 7 years old • Radyslav, 7 years old • Herman, 9 years old • Alina, 15 years old • Danylo, 15 years old • Mykyta, 15 years old • Kostiantyn, 16 years old • Nikita, 17 years old We must not forget, we cannot be silent. To quote Dietrich Bonhoeffer: “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”

A russian soldier who is now fighting for Ukraine: My father disowned me when he found out I had switched to Ukraine’s side. “They told us the russian army would be welcomed with open arms. I was mobilized into the russian army in 2022. I ended up in the 83rd Separate Air Assault Brigade. They tried to reprogram me. They showed me videos about biolabs and about Odesa in 2014. Then they said, ‘There’s nothing to talk about with you.’ They decided to send me to be disposed of. They gathered six of us and told us we had to go as ‘dead meat’ to check whether there was an enemy. I turned around and saw a guy with a blue ribbon. It was a Ukrainian soldier. I told him, ‘Let’s unload our weapons and go.’ Suddenly, drones with thermal cameras appeared from the russian side. They saw that we were being taken out and started shelling us with mortars. I had never run that fast through a tree line in my life. They were trying to bury us. When I ended up in a Ukrainian prison as a prisoner of war, I saw people who still wanted Ukraine destroyed, including children and families. I didn’t want to take part in that. Even if you are exchanged, you are immediately sent back to the front. I decided it would be better to defend Ukraine. I made a deal with the guards so they would pass along the message that I refused the exchange and wanted to serve on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. You have to prove that you didn’t come just like that. There is a polygraph that won’t let you lie or hide anything. My father immediately disowned me. What surprised me is that he is Ukrainian, but he wanted Ukraine to be ‘liberated.’ When he found out that I had switched sides, he said, ‘I no longer have a son.’ If they say they support my decision, they have two options: prison or the front. The one feeling I will live with for the rest of my life is how I ended up in Ukraine. I came here on the side of the occupier. I will have to live with that. It does not matter that now I am defending Ukraine.” Source: translated from Tymofiy Mylovanov

Today is the 1,500th day since Russia launched its full-scale war against Ukraine. What Moscow expected to be a quick victory has turned into a long and costly failure. Instead of achieving its goals, Russia has only deepened its losses and isolation. The world has seen what Russia truly is: a terrorist state. The only answer to this is unity, sustained pressure, and continued defence support for Ukraine.

Marine Ruslan Kurtmallaiev survived 3 years, 10 months in Russian captivity — over 2 in solitary, one letter, one phone call home. His wife spent the same time undergoing 26 rounds of chemotherapy and running a POW advocacy org. He read her letter on the bus out. euromaidanpress.com/2026/03/26/you…

What really makes me angry lately is how the narrative is slowly changing everywhere. Not long ago the world was saying that russians should feel consequences for this war. That russia should be isolated. That the crimes committed in Ukraine cannot be ignored. And now I see more and more posts saying: “It’s putin’s war, not russian war.” Recently their anthem was played again at international games. Like nothing happened. And every time I see this I think about Bucha. About civilians shot in the streets. About people with their hands tied. About mass graves. How quickly the world forgets.

Pani Natalia, 70, evacuated her husband on a wheelchair from the killzone. They traveled 13km (!) until they got to the Ukrainian defenders on the outskirts of Kostiantynivka. Impossible to watch this w/o tears. Incredible humans. Video by Vadym Heiko.

13-year-old Liza Polyanska from Kharkiv was killed by a russian missile this weekend. She died together with her mother and grandmother. Liza loved nature and animals and helped the Kharkiv Zoo. Her father is a Ukrainian soldier. Another stolen childhood. #StandWithUkraine #RussiaIsATerroristState

Today marks exactly four years since Putin started his three-day push to take Kyiv. And that says a great deal about our resistance, about how Ukraine has fought all this time. Behind those words stand millions of our people, immense courage, incredibly hard work, endurance, and the long path Ukraine has been pursuing since February 24. Looking back at the beginning of the invasion and reflecting on today, we have every right to say: we have defended our independence, we have not lost our statehood; Putin has not achieved his goals. He has not broken Ukrainians; he has not won this war. We have preserved Ukraine, and we will do everything to secure peace and justice. Glory to Ukraine!
