Spoke to an RN that approves VA disability. She says she thinks that 80% of it is fake. Veterans can come in and say they have tension headache or their back hurts, and are coached by attorneys, and they get up to 100% disability, including not paying property tax and getting $4-5k/month from the government — when in reality they’re completely fine. In fact, the RNs are paid an incentive via quotas to diagnose veterans with a disability and paid less if they don’t. I’m not saying there aren’t people who legitimately don’t have disabilities from serving our country, but folks who have never seen combat and are literally sitting at desks are getting 100% disability. It’s pretty insane. Does that make you mad? What if you could get the same disability working for a company?

Housing is a human right.” “So many people, when they receive a notice to quit or to vacate their homes, usually because of non-payment — so my legislation is making sure that they have access to legal counsel because we have found that when Li tenants know their rights, when they have access to legal counsel”
