My 12 yo son plays ice hockey and due to his skill he is targeted often / receives abuse from crazy hockey parents. But yesterday after he won the playoff game, an old timer grandpa from the other team came over and said, “Are you player # xx? I gotta shake your hand, I just love the way you skate! Well done!” It was such a beautiful moment, I nearly cried! There is so much negativity in youth sports I was so grateful for a bright spot.
