You see a lot claims that Venezuela has nothing to do with drugs because most of the fentanyl comes from elsewhere. I want to address this: First off, fentanyl isn't the only drug in the world and there is still fentanyl coming from Venezuela (or at least there was). Second, cocaine, which is the main drug trafficked out of Venezuela, is a profit center for all of the Latin America cartels. If you cut out the money from cocaine (or even reduce it) you substantially weaken the cartels overall. Also, cocaine is bad too! Third, yes, a lot of fentanyl is coming out of Mexico. That continues to be a focus of our policy in Mexico and is a reason why President Trump shut the border on day one. Fourth, I see a lot of criticism about oil. About 20 years ago, Venezuela expropriated American oil property and until recently used that stolen property to get rich and fund their narcoterrorist activities. I understand the anxiety over the use of military force, but are we just supposed to allow a communist to steal our stuff in our hemisphere and do nothing? Great powers don't act like that. The United States, thanks to President Trump's leadership, is a great power again. Everyone should take note.

NEW: Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth delivers an epic takedown of Maduro and praise for President Trump's bold Venezuela raid that captured the dictator. "Finally a Commander-in-chief the world respects... American warriors are second to none... No other country on planet Earth could pull this off." "Nicholas Maduro had his chance... He effed around and he found out." "President Trump is deadly serious about stopping the flow of gangs, violence, drugs, and poison... Getting back the oil that was stolen from us... This is America first. This is peace through strength." "Welcome to 2026. And under President Trump, America is back." BOOM!

“The next obvious observation is that by removing Maduro this is a clear move for control over Venezuelan oil supplies that will ensure stability for the next obvious regime change war in Iran.” And also takes away a key source of oil from China. If it was about drugs killing Americans, they would be bombing Mexican cartels.
Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸@FmrRepMTG

I’ve served on the Homeland Security Committee for the past three years. I’m 100% for strong safe secure borders and stopping narco terrorists and cartels from trafficking deadly drugs and human trafficking into America. Fentanyl is responsible for over 70% of U.S. drug overdose deaths and fentanyl comes from Mexican cartels made with chemical precursors from China and trafficked across the U.S. Mexico border. Mexican cartels are primarily and overwhelmingly responsible for killing Americans with deadly drugs. If U.S. military action and regime change in Venezuela was really about saving American lives from deadly drugs then why hasn’t the Trump admin taken action against Mexican cartels? And if prosecuting narco terrorists is a high priority then why did President Trump pardon the former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez who was convicted and sentenced for 45 years for trafficking hundreds of tons of cocaine into America? Ironically cocaine is the same drug that Venezuela primarily traffics into the U.S. The next obvious observation is that by removing Maduro this is a clear move for control over Venezuelan oil supplies that will ensure stability for the next obvious regime change war in Iran. And of course why is it ok for America to militarily invade, bomb, and arrest a foreign leader but Russia is evil for invading Ukraine and China is bad for aggression against Taiwan? Is it only ok if we do it? (I’m not endorsing Russia or China) Regime change, funding foreign wars, and American’s tax dollars being consistently funneled to foreign causes, foreigners both home and abroad, and foreign governments while Americans are consistently facing increasing cost of living, housing, healthcare, and learn about scams and fraud of their tax dollars is what has most Americans enraged. Especially the younger generations. Boomers and half of Gen X will cheer on neocon wars and talking points, but the other half of Gen X and majority on down see through it and hate it. Americans disgust with our own government’s never ending military aggression and support of foreign wars is justified because we are forced to pay for it and both parties, Republicans and Democrats, always keep the Washington military machine funded and going. This is what many in MAGA thought they voted to end. Boy were we wrong. As the baby boomers slip away both in votes and power, the electoral future will be decided for candidates that focus on American economic populism and promising prosperity for Americans only. As of right now, neither party is offering the solution.

You know what’s worse than breaking a campaign promise? Doing the EXACT opposite of what you promised. “No more wars!” [Bombs Venezuela, Nigeria, Syria…] “Lower prices on Day 1!” [Issues tariffs on all goods…]

Breaking: Venezuela (globally & our homeland)…What Next? First, our nation should be extraordinarily proud of the exquisite professionalism of our military, law enforcement and intelligence professionals. Their incredible teamwork in a chaotic / complex situation is second to none. So What & What’s Next? There will be time to evaluate the predicate for today’s action in the days ahead, but focus now must be placed on how to manage this complex situation. The attention of the world is now focused on Venezuela, and threats can come from a variety of hostile actors.   First, in Venezuela, we know that nature abhors a vacuum, and the decapitation of a foreign government can open the door to violence, international criminal organizations, and involvement of states outside our hemisphere. No matter how bad the leadership of Venezuela has been (and it was horrific), it is always possible it could get even worse, and we must be sure it does not lead to anarchy.   Our allies are watching for signals of American resolve. Adversaries are searching for openings. The American people need defined objectives. All of the world’s hotspots need to be monitored, and our nation needs to focus on our vital national interests and our hemisphere first.  Lastly, there could be direct consequences for U.S. national and homeland security.  Americans need to be vigilant to any signs of the blowback that could occur here from those would want to destabilize our country.  #AmericaFirst — I for one, look forward to hearing from our @POTUS to see what direction we’re headed.

Trump’s regime change war in Venezuela is flat out illegal and yet another betrayal of the commitments he made to the American people. He said he’d lower prices. He’s driving prices up. He said no “new stupid wars.” He’s starting new stupid wars. #Venezuela

Road safety isn’t partisan but accuracy matters. Federal rules already require English proficiency, testing, and medical certification for CDLs. The dispute here is over timing and due process, not whether standards exist. If licenses were improperly issued, the questions are straightforward: • Which agency approved them? • Why weren’t audits caught earlier? • How are unsafe drivers removed now without blanket claims? Public safety deserves facts, not shortcuts.

Gavin Newscum is REFUSING to cancel 17,000 migrant truck driver CDLs. He gave tens of thousand of CDLs to foreigners who don’t speak English or understand our road signs. There were already MULTIPLE fatal crashes caused by illegals who got their CDL in California. He wants our roads unsafe. EVIL.

Most Americans aren’t arguing about “collectivism” or “individualism” from the couch. We’re asking simpler things: Are the rules enforced the same for everyone? Can you work full time and still get ahead? Does government actually protect people who play by the rules? Rights don’t disappear because of speeches they disappear when systems stop working and nobody is held accountable. Less ideology. More results people can actually feel.
