This is definitely part of it. Arsenal really only have a few players capable of making something out of nothing with their quality / ball striking

• Eze although he’s been hit and miss
• Trossard although he seemingly only can do it in spurts

Not defending it in the slightest but just caught the Eze goal last night, has anyone ever thought that the majority of the ‘marginalisation’ of Arsenal’s football ie. set pieces & routines is mostly down to a lack of attacking quality? Outside of Eze, Havertz & Saka, the majority of the rest are pretty mediocre. City have beautiful patterns between the front 4 but mostly because Cherki is a wizard, Doku is one of the best box enterers I’ve seen, Haaland’s a generational striker & Semenyo has insane talents for a wide attacking forward. Don’t get me wrong, the majority of it is an Arsenal/Arteta/Berta issue but can’t help but think they’ve needed a superstar attacker for 4 years and the rigidity & ‘boringness’ argument is largely because of the players he’s working with. Idk, just a thought I’ve had for a few weeks.

The narrative that Arsenal are a better team with Havertz is false.
Arsenal were 9 points clear at the top of the Premier League, unbeaten in the UCL league phase, and in the Carabao Cup final when Havertz was injured.
Since his return, they’ve lost five matches in a row, potentially costing them the league, been knocked out of the FA Cup, and lost the Carabao Cup final, all with Havertz playing significant minutes. It’s not a coincidence that his return correlates with this downturn, it’s a recurring pattern.
Arsenal are not a better team with Havertz, they are a less threatening side with him.

Odegaard and Havertz ARE the reason we were good today, able to fight, compete, press high and generate chances! Rather than sitting in our side shoving long balls and losing possession every 10 seconds.
Our fan base is full of lunatics that can’t understand the most basic things of the game.
Can you imagine how are season would have been if both where available more often and we were able to play how we normally play??

Havertz must start on Sunday. Him and Eze as two 10s out of possession. Clog the space in the middle which will impact Rodri and Silva’s influence.

This season has been disastrous for Bukayo Saka, his output has fallen off a cliff but his performances in general have also declined significantly.
So annoying that this comes in a World Cup year because he needs a long summers rest to allow his body to fully recover: #AFC

Arsenal could do with Ødegaard being fit ASAP. People criticise him, but he offers control, pausa, calmness, and he plays with big balls. He frustrates in the final third, but he supersedes tactics with his touch-volume, dribbling, and intelligence. Missing his leadership.
