Worst part is, if TOR didn’t win the lottery that could have been the result to put BOS at 6. What a brutal night for BOS. Have to imagine Sweeney now tries to package some future 1sts this summer that ultimately won’t align with 88 prime. What a shit show.

Beyond the Bruins losing out a top-10 pick this year, the domino effect of McKenna to the Maple Leafs is brutal for Boston. Not only does an Atlantic Division foe get a legitimate talent, it also quiets some of the concern that the Leafs were heading for a sizable rebuild.

The Bruins are still a ways away and have 5 first round picks the next 3 years
But they need to continue the retool despite the solid season, the top of the roster is just not good enough, the D core is not good enough, there’s still a lot of work to do
