My 12-year-old daughter (who has Down syndrome) is absolutely beaming right now! 🥹 She was chosen at school to read the morning announcements over the loudspeaker tomorrow, and it’s her very first time. She can’t stop talking about it and is so excited she can barely sleep! She’s worked so hard and I’m incredibly proud of her. My heart is bursting seeing how happy this makes her. It’s been a weird time as of late. It brings me back to 2020 & why I started speaking out in the first place WAAAY back in 2020 when the government locked everyone down, told them to stay home, told them to shutter their doors, decided who was “essential” & who wasn’t I hated that. I’m a nobody from a tiny town in the foothills of Mt. Rainier. I recall my boss handing me a “permission slip” saying I was essential & allowed to be out & about. I crumpled it up in front of him & threw it away. Told him “This is America, I don’t need a permission slip to be outside” The following months & years I saw various mandates, to which the men I respected & looked up to all justify why they obeyed. Damning the constitution & their own responsibility to uphold all of our freedoms. Take the shot. Stay inside. Wear a mask. Influencers towed the line, propaganda plenty, my doctors told my pregnant wife it was “safe & effective” I didn’t buy it. I didn’t believe it. I was overly frustrated watching everybody bend the knee. Wondering what the fuck happened to “Land of the Free, Home of the Brave”. I didn’t see bravery, I saw the obedient convince themselves it was virtue, instead of cowardice. I was mad because just disobeying the mandates in the dark by myself seemed pointless… Then it clicked, why not me. Why should I not start speaking out against what I see. If this is all our society has to muster against government mandates the we’ll never be free again. Why can I not just… start speaking up for what’s right. Put my face out there & hopefully inspire more people to stead fast in their convictions It’s been quite a journey since then. I still feel like an outsider, which is probably a good thing. I’ve met a ton of various “influencers” these past couple years but very few I actually respect or believe that their convictions are real. The “MAGA Fracture” we’re experiencing right now feels a lot like 2020, in the way people justify obedience to the narrative, as see it as virtue, over constant vigilance & skepticism of the very government that’s put us almost $40T in debt. I’ve see too many people curate their opinions to be what is trending on 𝕏 at the time. Looking outward at the algo to make sure their opinion fits in that category. I’ve been told over & over again “this is how you become successful on 𝕏” “Don’t be too controversial, spam post generic video content and sprinkle in opinions to stay relevant” Tbh a lot of influencers are there to be monetarily successful & will mold themselves to what is most popular in order to do so I’ve battled that very same problem. I’ve turned down many sponsorships to stay true to my values, I’ve cut ties with large organizations for the same reason. The reason the Patriots Prayer Network is so little is because Eddie & I have refused to compromise our values to social pressure or for financial temptation. We’ve gone through many hosts, eventually angry at us that we can’t provide them the monetary boost they were looking for, when in reality, an account like mine, I was just looking to help give them a bigger voice. Not asking for hardly anything in return. I just way patriotic people to be lifted from censorship or the barrier to entry. To be honest I don’t even know where I fit in in this sphere. The many events I’ve taken part in I know that it’s not for me. So I continue to change tires on the daily, continue to be the best husband to my wife & father to my children. I believe the best way we can actually fight back is to live successful lives, be educated & involved with our family & communities. The daily drama has become akin to fantasy football drama. “My team was right & your team was wrong” meanwhile nothing changes. Take a step back, thank God for your blessings, tell your family you love them, & embody the values you wish to see in this world. Avoid masking cowardice as virtue, and always seek the truth.
