In an era where dominate two way bigs ran the table, picking Oden wasn’t a bad take. KD with hindsight was clearly the better pick, but in the moment, Oden was a generational big man prospect during an era where your foundation was the center position.

Okay so Greg Oden played left handed for most of the 2007 season…while being right handed because of wrist surgery and still averaged 16-10 on the number one ranked team in the nation. Maybe I do see it lmao

For a psychology course at the University Oklahoma, Samantha Fulnecky was asked to write a 650-word essay reacting to an article about how people are perceived based on societal expectations of gender. In her essay, Fulnecky argued that traditional gender roles should not be considered stereotypes. She cited the Bible to support her stance that eliminating gender in society would be "detrimental" because that would put people "farther from God's original plan for humans." She received zero points out of 25 on the essay. Transgender professor, Mel Curtis, said Ms. Fulnecky, failed to use empirical evidence/and called parts of her essay offensive. "To call an entire group of people 'demonic' is highly offensive, especially a minoritized population," the instructor wrote in the online grading platform. Fulnecky says she followed the assignment guidelines and should not be penalized for her religious viewpoints. OU officials point to the formal grade-appeal process as the student awaits a decision. We at Turning Point OU stand with Samantha. We should not be letting mentally ill professors around students. Clearly this professor lacks the intellectual maturity to set her own bias aside and take grading seriously. Professors like this are the very reason conservatives can't voice their beliefs in the classroom. The #Pelicans have relieved Willie Green of his duties as head coach, it was announced today by Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Joe Dumars. Associate Head Coach James Borrego has been named interim head coach. “After careful evaluation, we have made the difficult decision to make a change at head coach,” stated Dumars. “I have the utmost respect for Willie Green, and I’m sincerely appreciative of his contributions to the Pelicans organization and the New Orleans community. We wish him and his family all the best in the future.” “As I have stated, Joe Dumars is in charge of basketball operations decisions, and as one of the best basketball minds in the business, I trust him to make the right decisions for our franchise,” said Pelicans Governor Gayle Benson. “I have tremendous admiration and respect for Willie Green, and I truly appreciate all he has done for our organization over the last few years. As an Oklahoman, it’s a shame that we hold KD (and other athletes) to this odd standard. OKC has the right to be upset that he’s gone, but to act as if he betrayed the state is crazy. That team was constructed by the time we hit 2016. They won in spite of roster constructions.
