Secondly, you completely ignored the fact that it is not cheaper labour (helps, but has not the driving force as to why China manufactures cheaper per volume output) but rather investment in automation, robotics and huge volume output that makes China vastly cheaper to manufacture..no amount of tariffs will change that...

I am in China right now looking at recruiting some IT staff…. This sort of staff “starts” at USD$88 per day. In terms of the lowest factory workers, they now make around USD$25 per day (some 5x more than you’re suggest). China’s lower cost of manufacturing is largely due to high automation, robotics and volume.

I have never met anyone pro abortion, and the story is sad, the aggression uncalled for, however, on this particular subject, when passions are intense on both sides, it is best to not say things like what the abused woman said to the pro choice people. I really really do think a large part of the MAGA base thinks tariffs are just free money we can take from foreign countries and they don't understand why no one other than Trump thought of this One Cool Free Money Trick. Trump throws out a lot of boob-bait, but damn if he doesn't find plenty of boobs to eat it up.
