The judge seems to be making an identity out of public outbursts and displays of poor temperament. He’s proud of it, posting previously about this on Facebook.

It gets worse. This weekend after seeing the video, a veteran criminal defense lawyer (with no cases in this guy’s civil court) wrote this judge an email telling the judge he needed to apologize. The judge responded by accusing the lawyer of making an ex parte communication and ordered him to appear next week under threat of contempt. I’m a member of the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association “Strike Force,” a group of several lawyers tasked with defending lawyers against judicial overreach at a moment’s notice. We’ll be there to make sure this judge does not try to jail a veteran lawyer just for exercising his First Amendment rights in criticizing an elected judge’s behavior.

We have respected the legal process throughout my campaign and and legal case. It's incredibly frustrating and unprofessional for the Prosecutor and soon to be former Sheriff to make false and misleading statements about my case and motivation for running.

On July 3, as Kelsey Fitzsimmons was fighting for her life in the hospital after being shot by one of her fellow North Andover Police Officers, her baby daddy Justin Aylaian and 3 others (one of whom looks like his brother Brendon) forcibly broke into her home and stole her computer, modem, passport, cash, gift cards, and a hand written letter he had composed telling her what a good Mom she was to their 4 month old baby. He then allegedly logged into her bank account from his wifi, withdrew $5K, shut down her account, cancelled her travel arrangements, logged into her Facebook and Gmail, and accessed her pension and medical records. Apparently he didn't realize he had been filmed doing this, and he attempted to conceal this by returning the computer on another date.

🚨Aaron Spencer Trial Update The trial Judge has continued the trial briefly with jury selection beginning on Thursday, January 29 with trial to start on Monday, February 2nd.

This was not my idea, but a request for @auntiedebbb by @_Rural__Juror_ And, holy shit does it land.

@Bederowlaw Do you think the defense was always planning on bringing them in with the ME or did they pivot once Whelcher made those comments?

Whelcher will be severely discredited for shrugging off an inability to address arm fractures by inaccurately claiming there were no x rays. Not a good look when he discusses the importance of Karen's clips but is ignorant of the existence of x rays which indicate a lack of fractures and seemingly undermine his opinions and conclusions.

How does 4 videos in 4 days with 4 different lawyers who have all been following the Karen Read case sound? I want to check myself and see what other lawyers following the case think the commonwealth has proven, has the defense highlighted insurmountable reasonable doubt? Who else do we think the commonwealth will call? And maybe a little prediction about the defense’s case in chief. It’s fun to talk to lawyers all over the country (even world maybe?) about these cases - I love learning everything I can from people’s differing perspectives. Hopefully this will help everyone with their Read trial withdrawals 😂 Any guesses as to who might be joining me? A couple returning guests and a couple new as far as this case goes…
