@Freezorg Okay but this is moot when you could buy a much more powerful handheld at the same price point and just keeping it docked. It’s smaller, lighter, runs SteamOS, quieter, more powerful, and has the added benefit of being a handheld. The Steam Machine is an objectively bad product.

It’s crazy to me how much cope and mental gymnastics people are going through trying to defend the steam machine. It was a great idea and something I wish was executed better, but it’s a product that’s DOA and just a bad use of money in general.

@BarryDingleSak @ducholog I go on long road trips often, weeks at a time, spending nights in hotels or campsites. I'd rather have this to use for some casual gaming than trying to bring my whole rig around.

@SamHulick It’s a great idea but terrible timing. People can’t afford that price tag rn. Idk if the convenience of playing your steam library on Linux is worth an extra $400 from buying a PS5. Especially considering the target audience for this device most likely already have a dedicated pc

It's wild to me that people don't understand why someone would want the Steam Machine. IMO: - No Windows driver BS - Couch gaming FTW - Steam games get steeply discounted & more frequently than console games - Future integrations with Deck & Frame
