This obsession for American pickup trucks on UK roads is insane. Dave, you live on a fucking estate in Doncaster not on the prairies of Montana. Tax the bastards to oblivion

The electrostate discourse is growing. It needs properly defining but certainly the UK’s future lies more in electrification. Whether you emphasise nuclear or renewables + gas/batteries for your supply, both go best with electrification. newstatesman.com/environment/20…

Big difference is that the covid drop was demand destruction but this is supply destruction. In 2020 no one wanted the oil because of a mandated and somewhat managed power down vs now everyone still wants the oil but it's suddenly not there. This scenario must be worse shock-wise

OilX: current OPEC production down ~10.6MM Bbl/d vs. February...bigger drop than peak COVID!!! I lack the necessary eloquence to properly express just how bad this is for the world.

Half of US data centers planned for 2026 are expected to be delayed or canceled. One big reason is shortage of electrical equipment, such as transformers, switchgear and batteries. US doesn't have manufacturing capacity, forcing it to rely on imports. 🎁🔗 bloomberg.com/news/features/…

One month in to the war, some people are ready to call it. This energy shock will accelerate the world to a cleaner, more electrified future. “Electrification will be seen as the shock absorber.” nytimes.com/2026/04/01/opi…

The shift from oil isn't just about being 'green' anymore. It's a massive power move for national security. And if you add electrification into the mix its also about better modern techn 🚗☀️🏡 finance.yahoo.com/news/the-shift…

Marshall, who also owns the Spectator, crammed an impressive 25 dodgy claims into just 340 words I ran out of space on the actual newspaper, so I went through the letter point-by-point in the doc attached, which includes receipts/sources 2/2 docs.google.com/document/d/1fy…

Myth: If we tax billionaires they won't create jobs. Fact: Last year, billionaires got the largest tax break in history. Now, they are literally planning to replace every worker in America with a robot or AI. Trickle down economics is a scam. Tax billionaires out of existence.

Nepal nears 80% EV in 2025! Incredible. Developing countries cannot afford the huge cost of oil imports. The economics of EVs versus oil burning autos is why EVs are skyrocketing in many developing countries. Credit @janrosenow

India says it met its 2015 goal for '40% share of non-fossil resources based electric power installed capacity' 9 years ahead of the committed timeline... currently 52% - new target is 65% by 2035. So maybe we take datelines with a pinch of salt... pib.gov.in/PressReleasePa…
