@ThomasEWoods Work out really hard. Once a week go get sushi, get a bunch of "Toro". You can probably load like 7 grams of high quality Omega 3s in one go. They are not created equal not at all the same stuff as in a fish oil capsule

I am slightly neurotic about being in my 50s -- I still have so much I want to do, and I want to stay in the best health I can. I also don't want my brain capacity to deteriorate. So I ask you, dear X people, whether there's any scientific basis for what I'm doing for the ol' noggin. My approach is this: keep my brain active in a bunch of different ways. So not just in my daily reading and writing, but also in learning a musical instrument, studying great chess games (I'm working my way through what Bobby Fischer called his 60 memorable games), and learning a foreign language. Yes, of course a language has practical use, but just as important to me is that it gives my brain a different kind of workout from anything else I do. I have no ironclad proof that this will lower my chances of Alzheimer's. But it makes sense. Opinions?

Found out that skin tags can be linked to insulin resistance? And apparently that can be linked to POTS? I literally have had them around my eyes since I’ve been unwell. This is wild.

I had Dr. Jaban Moore on my podcast! In my opinion one of the top integrative doctors out there. He works with people around the world on complex chronic illness: Lyme disease, mold toxicity, heavy metals, MCAS, long COVID and everything in between. We get into a ton. Why blood tests for heavy metals are almost completely useless, how your body adapts to toxins so well that your labs can look fine while you are actually very sick, why psych meds can still be sitting in your cells years after you stopped taking them, what it actually means when you react badly to magnesium or B vitamins, the energy budget framework and why high achievers can burn themselves out. Why living in a bubble and feeling okay is not the same as being healed (duh), how trauma and mold toxicity create the same internal loop that keeps your body stuck in fight or flight, what the neurotoxic loop is and why leaving a moldy house does not automatically stop the immune response. He’s an integrative doc I’d trust to treat patients properly and worth a listen.

Over 7,000 years ago, the Ubaid culture of Mesopotamia created bizarre humanoid reptilian figurines with elongated skulls, almond eyes, scaled features, and serpent-like appearances. Why do you think they made these?

Interestingly the ICE-L is built by Spanish manufacturer Talgo. Why? The Germans having a very difficult rail network place emphasis on rail frequency and thus boarding times. Talgo is the only spanish rail manufacturer that builds trains without bogies. Each two train carriages only have a single wheel per side between them with independent suspension and no axle. They kicked off this difficult Engineering project decades ago because they needed a trainset that could change gauge between their two varying gauges quickly. The Germans valuing boarding times want a train that is level with the boarding platform yet also is level across the entire train. This cannot be done with traditional bogies. Their standard ICEs are raised to 1.25 meters having to take your heavy luggage up nearly 75 centimeters in stairs from the platform at every door.

The latest ICE 4 variant has been built slower and less powerful than the ICE 3. The Germans have decided 265km/h (with future software update) will be enough for most of their routes. I tend to agree. Focusing on the slow sections raising average speed seems more pragmatic. Whether the way the incentive is framed leads to that outcome is another question.

Europe is brilliant in some ways, absolutely retarded in others High speed train network 👍 Recylcling at the individual level vs at a processing facility later? You have constant garbage trucks coming multiple times per day for every separated item, it's absolute bananas! There's no reason to not separate later it's all about some weird collectivist moral back whipping that has to be performed

The most underrated problem with respect to childhood growth and development are the toxic metals aluminum and lead that displace and store in skeletal tissue. Specifically, both toxic elements can displace calcium directly in bone. 60% of a persons aluminum burden is stored in the bone and 95% of a person lead is stored in bone. While traditionally we have conceptualized toxic metals driving disease processes in later life, they can also retard growth and development of the structure. Much in the same way they destroy development in the brain, if they reach that tissue, they can similarly retard structural growth. If you think your child doesn’t have any aluminum or lead you’d be wrong. Conservative agencies like the ATSDR at CDC estimate the average aluminum burden for your average American is anywhere from 30-50 milligrams. This is likely underestimated and with aluminum ubiquity in the environment only increasing with time, this problem will persist as time goes on.
Cernovich@Cernovich

95% of skeletal mass is laid down by the time your kids turn 18. If you don't have them jumping, doing plyometrics, and lifting, then you are setting them up for huge problems. It's a parental failure.

The Christian Messiah and the other abrahamic religion's Moschiach only arrives given certain pretexts. War with Iran and Russia, our greatest ally has to be involved for those. A massive war between Christians and muslims. And global catastrophe with devastating loss of life. The diaspora then faces conflict with the whole world and returns to its chosen nation. At the end of it all, our greatest allly will emerge as the world's most powerful nation to lead the world. This is their prophecy. I'd keep it in mind to check against when you see what's happening, maybe it'll be useful.

I voted for Trump thinking he’d bring gas prices sub $2/gal and avoid WWIII and instead he got all the oil infrastructure bombed and sent gas over $6, then openly said he expected it to raise oil prices three times higher than they went. The only thing that can really make sense of it is Simon Dixon’s theory that it’s a manufactured energy crisis to make bailing out AI companies a national security concern so that the US government can steal everything from your future and give it to Sam Altman. That makes a lot more sense than Trump wanting WWIII or hating cheap gas.
Chris Masterjohn tweet media
Simon Dixon@SimonDixonTwitt

That’s the big print. The U.S. national debt will pay for the AI bailout, and the energy companies will profit from it. A crisis is needed to justify the Fed’s bond purchases. A narrative is needed to allocate the capital in an emergency. Hence the national security and China AI arms race narrative. Hence the war to manufacture the energy crisis. That’s why exponential wealth inequality is mathematically baked into the strategy. It is also why the world reserve currency status has to be sacrificed.

If you live in Kentucky, vote for this guy. If you don’t, donate to his campaign. Massie is the only good person in the House. Contrary to the view that he’s an obstructionist who gets nothing done, he successfully campaigned against the BBB getting a 10-year override on the ability of states to regulate AI, which directly protects your ability to locally keep them out of your own back yard or prevent them from starving you of electricity. Massie was instrumental in getting the Epstein files released. And while most of them are still illegally hidden, the fact that he got this done with a LAW means that there can be indefinite future prosecution of people who are hiding them now and ability to force their release. Massie isn’t just a guy who sits around and says no to everything because he’s a libertarian purist. He is the only voice we have left in the House to make principled stands in favor of the liberty of the common man. The Epstein billionaires are trying to flush out their last principled critic. Don’t let them. Photo of me and him is from October 26, 2024.

Rhonda Patrick and Bryan Johnson are arguing about whether core body temperature or heat shock protein expression is a better metric of personalized sauna optimization. Bryan is right and Rhonda is wrong: core body temperature wins. Why? Because heat shock protein is a temporary acute phenomenon that completely disappears once the improved ability to regulate core body temperature sets in.
Chris Masterjohn tweet media
Dr. Rhonda Patrick@foundmyfitness

Small correction here. You don’t need to reach a core temperature of 102.3°F to activate HSP expression. And you definitely don’t need to sit in a 200°F sauna for 30 minutes. The research shows HSP expression can increase by ~50% after 30 minutes at 163°F, with core body temperature rising to only about 101°F. Sauna benefits (even those related to HSPs) don’t require extreme heat or pushing core temperature that high.

Recently I was invited to debate Zahi Hawass on Piers Morgan. I declined the offer, I honestly don't know why we bother to give him airtime, especially after his abysmal performance on Joe Rogan. Seems pointless to me, I literally have better things to do.
