Ok, it's time to look at a dog with hair that could land it in a shampoo commercial. It's a dog with a long flowing coat, a zest for life, and drive to herd. Have you guessed which breed it is? It's the Old English Sheepdog. Let's learn together! 🧵

@cmclymer You can disagree with him, but saying he’s a fake catholic is like saying Schumer is a fake Jew. Not a good look for Trump, and not a good look for you.

@cmclymer It was low. Trump completed the job of no nuclear weapons for Iran thus protecting the USA. No boots on the ground. All through air command. This needed done and Trump was the only POUTUS in 47 years with the spine to do it.

Last week, I was at a friend's birthday gathering at a crowded bar in D.C. and I somehow wound up in conversation with a small group of people about the war in Iran. One of them fully supported the war and fully supported Trump. I politely sipped my drink and waited for the convo to move on. I didn't really want to talk about this during what was meant to be a laidback evening. But then he said this: "The death toll has been surprisingly low for our military." I asked him: "How do you mean?" "Well, we've had a small number of troops killed, less than ten." "Thirteen," I said. "Thirteen troops have been killed in combat." "Right," he said. "That's a surprisingly low number. We've had a low fatality rate." And, you know, I just couldn't let that go. I couldn't. "Surprisingly low?" He said: "Yeah, it could be much worse. We could have lost a lot more soldiers at this point." I asked him: "Can you name any of the service members who were killed?" "What?" "Thirteen service members have been killed. Do you know any of their names?" There was this long, awkward pause. And then he said: "I know some of their names have been published." I said: "All of their names have been published. The last KIA was a few weeks ago. Do you know any of their names?" Another long pause and then finally: "No, I don't." Let me offer some friendly advice for anyone like this gentleman who is tempted to say this was a "surprisingly low" number of service members killed. Don't make this observation if it's just a number to you. Every one of these service members had loved ones, friends, a life back home. Some of them had kids. Some of them had mortgages and front lawns to mow. Some of them had grills in their backyard they would have been using for parties with people they loved this summer. Now they're gone, and their families and friends are always going to feel that loss. You shouldn't be saying something like "surprisingly low" in the first place but especially when you don't know any of their names. If U.S. military fatalities are "surprisingly low," it shouldn't take you any time at all to learn their names. Friendly advice.

@ChefReactions Yep. Love an opened can of cold baked beans and a spoon. Also a can of tuna and some frozen peas added into Kraft dinner. If it works it works.

I am all for amplifying the voices of Iranians who are living there, but it's pretty clear Twitter is being flooded with bot accounts created recently. It's not hard to check. Make sure you do check before amplifying an account claiming to be an Iranian.

Because the U.S. Men had not won gold is 46 years and that win was a miracle. No really, they still call it The Miracle on Ice. Also, Hellebuyck had to stand on his head for that W. Against arch-hockey-nemesis Canada. Not everything has to be equal. Enough.
Charlotte Clymer 🇺🇦@cmclymer

I think it's fine that U.S. men's hockey goalie Connor Hellebuyck was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Trump for allowing only five goals during the Olympics. But why wasn't U.S. women's hockey goalie Aerin Frankel, who allowed only two goals during the Olympics, not also honored in this way? That doesn't make sense.

Hey Chicago whaddaya say? Let’s keep supporting local businesses, especially restaurants. Don’t know if it’s because I was there really early (4:30 pm) on a Thursday at the beginning of Ramadan, but @PitaInn was almost empty and that’s criminal. These folks work too hard!

One of the most chill places you can live to gET AWAY FROM IT ALL is in La Quinta, CA and I am liking the vibe of this mediterranean home. This one is on the water, has fairway views of the la quinta country club and was designed by BARRY A. BERKUS, FAIA (it’s fun to say Barry Berkus?) currently listed for only $3,950,000

🚨 “OZEMPIC HOUSES” ARE GOING VIRAL - AND PEOPLE ARE SHOCKED BY WHAT’S INSIDE This real estate agent is walking through a brand new 350 square foot house built by Lennar. There's no real bedroom. No real closet. You have to climb a ladder to get to the loft. The shower looks like it belongs on a boat. Every inch is compressed, stripped, and downsized. They’re selling it as homeownership for $130,000. Payments are in the $900/month range. Only $1 down. Some people call it freedom. Others call it dystopian as hell. Would you actually live here?

@NickKristof Sir, I’m 39, and this wasn’t even the case for my high school class. The top students were often also athletes. You may wanna do a bit of field work in American high schools. We’re not living in a John Hughes movie anymore.
