Serious question for the windows codex desktop app users out there? What is your workflow for something that has a UI? I can't find any way to clear context in a session, and there is no way to see the amount of context your current session is using that I can see. /status doesnt appear to do anything at all. Every new session requires clicking the "new chat" button on the sidebar for the project, re-opening the side bar for the browser, reopening the bottom bar for terminal, and starting the app locally again, and then navigating to the local URL in the browser. This is crazy, or am I crazy?? @thsottiaux @OpenAI

I really love how clean and glassy it is. Still not sure how valuable are todo lists tool call render on mobile but let me know. A ton of fixes are coming to it in the next release.

Just finished messing around with Gemini 3.5 Flash on a brand new project. wow. Not good. Dangerously overconfident in saying its done, rushes to implementation, doesn't follow directions, takes liberty to implement things not in a detailed plan document given to it. Went through the same exact prompts to start this project as Opus 4.7 and its night and day. Dont even bother with 3.5 flash

@thsottiaux Honestly seems crazy that documentation/tutorials around all of this stuff isn’t done automatically using codex in a meaningful way. Seems like one of the most obvious use cases for a tool like codex.

Are these changes documented somewhere? The changelog on your website for codex seems out of date. Any separation between windows updates and Mac updates? Seems like a trivial thing to keep updated with agents. Why do I have to come to twitter and scroll through these posts to find what’s been released?
