There is a lot of confusion because some games like Assassin's Creed: Shadows already support PSSR since last year, but they are getting a new patch in the coming weeks to take advantage of everything PSSR 2 offers. Another developer explained the distinction that all existing PSSR titles can take advantage of some enhancements using the OS level toggle but native PSSR 2 support, requires a patch and development implementation.

I notice some confusion on new PSSR. Games that already patched it in when PSSR first came out, like we did, “automatically” support the new version. Games that didn’t yet add it, need to patch it in.

Take a read. Been challenging to juggle this and Control Resonant and all the other things we have got going, but busy is good!

In the last three weeks we had the CONTROL Resonant previews, that took some doing, Alan Wake Remastered PC patch, FBC Firebreak Open House update and everything around that, and probably something else I forgot. And more on the way 😂

@RiotRMD I will always love remedy to bits and everything you guys do. Please promise your fan base to never go back to live service strategy. Make a first person shooter story campaign or a game in RCU universe. Thank you

Quickly looked at Control on PS5 Pro in the morning as the firmware updates. Game already looked amazing but bit better now.

@MWorldII @VladimirPejic @RiotRMD The automatic system is much better than the built-in support. Developers are lazy to make a patch for every game, remember the PS4 Pro, where most developers didn't do anything

Once the new PSSR comes available, it’ll automatically improve Alan Wake 2 and Control. Some of the problems areas like shimmering fences, power lines and such will improve in AW2. Haven’t had much time to follow this CONTROL Resonant keeping us busy.
