But the U.S. will also never just move the military out of the Gulf; it’s needed as forward bases toward Asia and to project power in the region. That’s a no-go issue for both, to some extent … but technically the U.S. can accept Iran owning enriched uranium with frequent inspections. So, unless the war is fought out to the end … no deal on this I’d say.
